It seems my local Boots isn't handling the storms too well.

If people are denied access to the best lunchtime 'meal deal' on the high street, there'll be riots, I tell ya.

It would appear that the Cheshire Basin and Merseyside is the only part of the country with NO FUCKING SNOW. I could've really done with a snow day, too.

Roads have been fine all week. Today I’ve been to Handforth Dean, Cheshire Oaks, Warrington Gemini and Ashton Moss and the roads were perfectly clear except for all the gritting around Preston Brook, not that it looked like it might freeze at all, the M56 is perfectly dry. I think a lo5 of grit has been wasted this week.

I wish they’d waste some where we live. These are our ‘roads’... It was like this in January too, though. It must have been a bit awkward around Watford yesterday, too, as my stepdad was stranded 2.5 hours in his car on the way back from work and had to be rescued :( And their heating has gone today :(

We’re living in a bubble. Still no new snow around here. I was up to Preston, then Warrington and Chester today. No snow on the roads, no ice, black or otherwise, or other hazards. How long can we stay this lucky?

I think the worst has passed. We are still fully snowed up here, but no more is falling at least. Weirdly tgecweatgercsays a high of 8° today, which I find hard to imagine, simply from the chill being given off by the foot of snow everywhere. There’s no sun, either. If the sun did come out strong there is going to be a flooding problem, I think.

Snowing here. Rover started first time so I idled it for 15 mins whilst I gritted the drive.

And I made this.

Heh that's always the my first thought when someone mentions Jason Lee. Mind you, Google gets confused in a different way -

Sounds like Deacon Blue lyrics.

It’s rained here this evening, which is helping to melt some areas away but turned some to slush which I’m hoping to all goodness does not freeze to slabs of ice as I have to navigate to Nursery and the doctors tomorrow.

Merry St Piran's Day.

Cerys Matthews played a modern song in Cornish on her show yesterday, which was a first for me. Shame I didn't think much of it, but hey, we all have to start somewhere.

Mrs Z has gone to Ikea with her mum and sister today. Getting a book case for our sons room but I expect I'll be coming home to a flood of new candles and cushions.

I've always distrusted anything labelled as "[something] drink" ever since a hiking trip when I was 19 and someone bought a bottle of "Spirit Drink" from a village shop in a remote part of the Lakes.

"Juice drinks" are usually water, sugar and a small amount of juice.
