Say the Imitation Game, on the flight back. What a great powerful game, makes you feel for the lead.

I hated that movie. Very little about it is accurate. I mean, there really was a guy called Turing, at least.

Well, OK, how about character assassination of someone who went through quite enough of that when he was alive?

I felt for him in the film, it was horrible how we treated folks

I was being flippant before.

The BBC drama with Derek Jacobi playing Turing is better though.

The Life Of David Gale. 8/10

Twisty McTwisty.

Great film, but whether it be by luck or what not I did manage to guess the final outcome about 30 mins from the end :)

Bwuahaha! Stalker :D

That was a really fun movie. Got some proper laugh out loud moments from me, plus the gratuitous violence was brill. Pacing and plot was a bit WTF, but the writers really nailed it.

HUSH is an excellent new home invasion thriller / horror film with a neat twist. The home-alone woman being preyed on is deaf & mute.
Doesn't insult your intelligence by having her do stupid or heroic things (or relying on cheap jump scares) for the most part. She thinks things through logically in terms of how best to survive based on her "disabilities".

I watched it via "alternative" means, but it's available on Netfilx if you've got it.

Well directed (the last film from this director was OCULUS which I really liked), excellent acting, good film. 8/10

Trailer here (doesn't give everything away like many modern trailers do) :

Really? I found it a long, troubling and meandering philosophical treatise on the nature of faith that moved at a glacial pace, a sort of science-fictional post-apocalyptic Russian version of Last of the Summer Wine that seemed a haunting parable about Chernobyl shot amidst horrifically polluted and decaying Russian wastelands, but disconcertingly filmed before the tragedy itself.

Now I'm disappointed that it wasn't Last of the Summer Wine based in Chernobyl.

I watched the majority of Blade Runner The Final Cut No This Time Really Honest last week and it struck me that 2016 is the year most of the replicants had their inception date, it's a superb film and in 2016 we have sexbots like Pris but no flying cars. Lots of owls, though.

I think I'd like a Pris shaped sexbot. I dunno why they gave her a B level mind though.

They tried really hard to make this reasonably good but failed at it. The original was pretty good, this one just stinks.

Predestination is a fantastic scifi film that you should watch blind. Straightforward, but great fun. Highly recommended.

Oh, I watched films.
The Intern is more of De Niro being old, and nothing happens, but it's okay.

Victoria, however, is pretty good. It's got quite a bit of German in with no subtitles, but you're not meant to understand it because Victoria doesn't. There's also a special way it's been filmed that I'm not going to tell you about it, see how long it takes you to realise. Fucking impressive, though.

Watched 'THE BIG SHORT' last night, which was absolutely fantastic.

I believe it has its problems but nevertheless it was a bloody good film likes.

Scores a slightly improbable one on the Craster scale as well.

9/10.
