On my way into work, I passed someone commuting into town on a unicycle. The joys of Oxford!

A while ago I saw one on my commute from central London to Surrey. He was faster than me (on a road bike) on the downhills, too. Fabulous!

Wow. I've never seen anything like that before. Unlike Segways, can you ride one whilst maintaining dignity and self-respect?

Surveyor has fucked us over and valued our flat £16k less than the sale price.

Looks like we might lose our buyer if he can't get the mortgage he requires on it :(

It's not the end of the world, we still might be able to get the house if we have to drop the price on the flat a bit, but it will be a lot tighter than I would have liked!
Everyone is a bit shocked at the valuation, especially considering the flat next door sold for £2k less than mine and had no problem getting a mortgage on it. It's the same flat and they sold for virtually the same price within a week of each other!

BBC: 'Binge-drinking continues to fall in young UK adults'

Tsk...these young people, eh. Drinking moderately, being sensible, not getting into fights on George Street on a Friday night. What a disgrace.

I just finished reading it too.

I felt quite sorry for him really. I know it's mostly his own doing, but still.

Facebook. I was looking at my profile and it said I was 36, and I thought 'well that's wrong, I'm 37', but my date of birth was right so I asked Russell to work out how old I was and he said 36', so ... I don't know. I guess I just lost track of it at some point.

Obviously 36 was the age at which I went senile...

Am I the only one who was just enjoying scrolling by the title screens mentally ticking off the ones id played.

I should really download MAME for the big telly PC. Can you download it anywhere with all the games pre-loaded? I couldn't get them to work last time I tried.

Probably not. I've got a full set which was a 30ish gig torrent I believe. I'll happily share them with you but it may involve a hard drive in the post.

It's not hard to find them but I reckon Zaphod will be around later to give better advice.

I haven't got a player on the PC. Thanks though.

I could handle a 30 gig torrent though. I'd zapped all 6 seasons of The Sopranos the other day which didn't take that long.

I'll do a search for Zaphod's MAME download. I'm sure it was in a MAME challenge thread someplace.

Be careful with the latest version of Mame. If I remember rightly, they added a load of fruit machines which made it an unusable mess.

There are a few different ways to do it but this is probably the easiest

https://kickass.unblocked.pw/mame32-roms-t1347321.html

An 'older' version of mame with roms all ready to go

The ones in the various mame threads are just the games we played so are fine if thats what you want to play but not if you want anything else

Zaph always comes through with the goods. He's like the gaming Google. (Thanks again, homie)

DLing now. It's only 5 gig.

I'll be back with tedious questions!

If he were born between Jan1st and Aug 31st it may be because it was all the same birth year? Anyhooo, I onvioufly don't have much of a memory for anything...

you probably do what I do; when I am, say, 35 I think I am 35, until I am >~35.6, then I just think of myself as 36, then when I pass my birthday I add 1 to 36, so think of myself as 37 for a while.
