Sunrise!

It was beautiful this morning. I noticed it initially when a plane overhead was glowing bright orangey-red. after the initial 'Ah, Jumbo jet on fire!' panic I relised it was the rflection of the sunrise.

I've just noticed the girl opposite me was caught in the reflection. She looked just like Ramona Flowers. I have a funny tale about that which I will tell to the quizzers tonight.

Looks like those of you with a casual attitude to copyright might find it difficult to get hold of TV shows for a while.

I ran into this last night when trying to get the last couple of days worth of TV and was surprised to find out that any aspect of the site was still actually in Sweden; I'd just assumed everything would be sitting in some obscure datacentre somewhere. Not that I entirely (i.e. even slightly) understand how this stuff works obviously.

There's a vintage video game shop near where I live that I occasionally go in.

The guy mentioned that he'd sold an N64 controller for £540 recently!

Goodness me.

Holy shit! I've got two of them and the actual console at home, am I sitting on a goldmine? I assume not; was there something special about the controller in question?

It had £600 stuffed inside it.

It was a leopard print controller. I saw it and to be honest, I wasn't sure it was official but there you go... Someone must have wanted it badly.

Thepiratebay.cr seems to be filling that role nicely.

One of the guys at work is off on his Christmas holiday now. To South Africa. For three weeks. Cnut.

I'm longing for Friday, and I still have week of work after that to procrastinate my way through. Urgh.

Is anyone else having problems with Hola at the mo?

I can get onto torrentz.eu ok, but when it tries to open a new tab so I can download the torrent from whatever site is listed there, Virgin facking media start chiming in about criminal offence this and that.

I wanna watch Sons of Anarchy The Finale. Waah.

Help me fill my time with telly BeeX!

Try watching it via a streaming link site, like http://watchseries-online.ch/episode/so ... chy-s07e13

A load more of those have just been blocked by the ISPs after a court order, as well.

I can't help thinking it'd work out cheaper to throw a few million at sorting global licensing instead of trying to stop people working around regional licensing.

Go here, pick a server that isn't offline. Then learn to Google for "<site name> proxy".

"There’s a classic Steve Martin bit from A Wild and Crazy Guy…

“I got a great dirty trick you can play on a three-year-old kid… Whenever you’re around him, talk wrong. So now it’s like his first day in school and he raises his hand, ‘May I mambo dogface to the banana patch?’”

I’m not sure if it’s a great idea to take parenting advice from 1970s standup albums, but this always made sense to me.

If you have a kid, why not run experiments on them? It’s like running experiments on a little clone of yourself! And almost always probably legal.

It’s disappointing how many people have children and miss this golden opportunity, usually waiting until they’re in their teens to start playing mindgames with them."

I used up all my leave going to America so I'm in the office until the 24th, then back in 29th-31st, then back in on the 2nd.

I'm also on call the 31st and 1st! :metul:
