Damn you, Perkies! Cheers everyone though! I guess it's just a case of making sure I can spin a decent yarn in response to every possible question. I suppose having worked a "proper job" for a few years I'll have a bit of an advantage over the other candidates who'll likely be fresh out of uni. Hopefully...

I went to a re-enacting friend's wedding yesterday and was wearing my 19th Century US uniform as I'd been asked to form part of a guard of honour for him. I'd parked my car about half a mile away as Hastings was really busy. It might have looked pretty odd as I walked through the bustling crowds on my way to and from the church, passing streets bedecked with flags, bunting, and other patriotic bunting in honour of the Jubliee, but almost nobody batted an eyelid (other than the guy in a cafe who thought I was French and the young mother who pointed out 'a cavalryman' to her four year old).

Oh, and I went to the wrong car park so had to retrace my route and ask for directions.

I don't think I did, I think it might be because Taio Cruz was playing in the background on MTV.

EDIT: It's not that... my video isn't blocked in any countries and it was filmed on my iPhone... the same iPhone I'm now not allowed to watch it on!

EDIT EDIT: No, it IS that. If anyone claims copyright on it, they can choose to disable the setting that lets you watch it on TVs or mobile devices.

Someone said you can have it with mint and lemonade, or orange juice, because I'm allergic to berries.

What does the actual base drink taste like?

It's like slightly aniseedy iced tea.

You generally mix it with lemonade, then muddle it with some mint and add cucumber and fruit. No reason you can't avoid berries.

That's a little harsh, considering cucumber is basically water with some cellulose holding it together.

Aye, it gives me terrible gyp, so any concoction Mrs W comes up with had better not have it in. N.B. She went to Asda to get a few bits and bobs this afto, and bought a bottle of Pimms on impulse, as we've often talked about trying it. Then when she got home asked me to look up recipes so she could see whether or not we have the necessary ingredients.

I'm never sure about cucumber, either. I think because it makes me think of witch hazel and bathroom products.

The base drink is not something I've ever known anyone to drink, but mixed with lemonade it is ace. You can then basically throw any amount of fruit salad in it of you so desire, but it is perfectly acceptable with just lemonade and ice.

I suggest you try it. Very nice.

I don't mean to drink it alone, but what would you say was the flavour of it? Is it fruity, aniseed, dry, etc?

I don't get drinks like Pimms or Sangria. You're left with a glass full of mushy, unpleasant fruit and vegetables. What's the point?

I don't like the texture. I also don't like cereal that's drowned in milk and that turns to mush.

You're not drinking it quickly enough if the fruit is in it long enough to turn to mush. ;)

The fruit does need to be fresh and firm though. :)

How was the gig, Jazzy? Sorry we couldn't make it along. We had to go shopping for our little holiday and then try and catch up on some sleeps.
