City where drugs and whores are legal in attracting the wrong crowd shocker.

I always found the local gangs that try and sell you 'coke, extasy, hassish' at the edges of the RLD far more intimidating and bad for the city's image.

I’ve been here for over six months now and never had a problem (touch wood)…to be honest once you leave the silliness of the city centre (which I don’t particularly like as it’s too bloody crowded all the bloody time and full of undesirables like Americans and Brits) Amsterdam is actually a very quiet place. This is not actually helped by the fact that nearly everything closes at 5pm, which is a complete sod for anyone who works for a living.

Oh don't get me wrong, I love Amsterdam.

The last few times were a lot different as I explored other parts of the city rather than the centre, I'd done all that before. Great place to visit any time of the year too, very pretty in the majority of places.
