I can make that day far better than the others, and tehre are plenty of bars that work on a '50% off all drinks' basis until 8pm, which will cut down on the wallet damage.

I get beaten with lengths of bamboo on Tuesdays ( kendo class ) so I can come, but will be somewhat knackered and blistered. The City in That London would be fairly close for me though.

Once we've had our fill of cheap drinks, I propose we go get some food at either a curry house in Brick Lane, or at GBK in Spitalfields (because I seem to recall have 2-for-1 vouchers for it).

How swish is this Abacus? I'm likely to be lugging bags around and be wearing trainers. I don't want to turn up, only to be forced to stand outside in the cold, staring through the window at you lot chugging back the bolly.

The plan is some time after 8, once the cheap drinks are no longer in effect, and there's no reason to be there.

The East Surrey Museum is awesome, and I'll not have a bad word said about it. Fragments of Iron age pots! A bit of a German plane from the Battle of Britain! Something about a guy called Soper whom the town hall is named after!

My favourite moment was when Squirt said, "I can't stay out for dinner as my wife has made a lovely moussaka". I suggested we all went back for moussaka, to which he replied in earnest, "there's only enough for the two of us."

I looked him straight in the eye and said "well, these three losers don't have to come with us, do they?"

Bizarrely, I don't even think it was me who came up with the moussaka. One of you guys managed ( utterly inaccurately, by the way ) to decide that my wife was cooking me some moussaka for my tea.

Anyway, I like saying that word. Moussaka moussaka moussaka.
