Anyone having problems - log in then log out again using the log out link (top left). Make sure the url ends in .com and starts with www. when you do so (click here for the site you 'should' be logging in to).
Then if you log in again you should stay in.

Failing that, clear your cookies (sorry, I know that's annoying - if you have the capability only the beexcellent ones need to go).

This is, interestingly, all Myoptikakakakaka's fault.

I had a login problem earlier, closing down my browser and then re-opening it and trying again solved the issue. I was using http://www.beexcellenttoeachother.com both times.

I've had to nuke the cookies on both my work and home machines (both latest v2 firefox under XP) and it's worked fine since.

I tried that first, but then ended up having to do the whole lot anyway.

Quite possible that it is just me being crap at the moment of course.

Good idea to sticky this Grim... :)

You're not alone Jasmine, I've had to nuke the lot on both machines I use.

Anyway back to this idea of beating Myp until he says sorry... >:(

A bit odd this, I'm not sure why you'd have to delete all of them, as they should be comletely unrelated. The only thing I can think of is if you're not using "www.beexcellenttoeachother.com" and the cookies are setting the domain for something else.

I definately just hand deleted the beexcellenttoeachother.com cookie and it was fixed.

Oh and Grim, please spill the beans on why Mypmap forced you the BREAK THE FORUMS...I am INTRIGUED.

Curiously, I couldn't log out just now. Fortunately, I didn't want to, and had only clicked on the link through the treacherous rebellion of one of my extremities, which has since been subdued.

Announcements should be for threads that will be there forever. Bargains, rules and gamer tags. Everything else should just be a sticky. IMO

Or maybe, you know, things that need announcing. Like the how to fix it if you can't log in?

So, if we want something to be around forever, we should present it as a temporary announcement, but if it's just a 'one-off' like the login problems, we should instead I dunno, sticky it so it will be around forever?
...
No wonder it's been such hard work discussing sub-forums. You people are crazy, man.

I just had a bought of this too, probably because my workstation got turned off over the weekend. Cleaing all the beex cookies sorted it out though. Sadly, I didn't have the brains to look in the cookies and run the site through Fiddler, otherwise I could have perhaps been more use in fixing the problem. I blame the fact it's Monday morning and I've not had any coffee yet.

This login problem is really getting on my tits now. I was about to clear the cookies for a third time then it all started working again.

Gah! At this rate I'll be turning into CUS!

I agree with chinnyhill10.

Well, nobody is saying they have a problem with it, so I think we can safely assume the best. It's worked for us before!

Man, I'm getting really sick of these sweeping admin decisions, keeping threads pinned up high for no reason. Dictatorial insanity, I say. :attitude:

I couldn't reply to any posts for most of last week. I got stuck in a log-in loop every time I tried.
I thought I must have been banned...

I haven't cleared any cookies.

That's because I've put it back to how it was. If you remember, the only reason I changed it in the first place is because of you and your websense issues.
I'm going to send you a special link to get a SUPAHCOOKIE, which should sort you out.

This has just happened to me for the first time.

I've just spent 10 minutes trying to resolve it (including deleting all my cookies several times)

Hit the problem again this evening (second time now) but luckily Firefox makes it easy to delete the cookies just for once site and I was back up and running again.

Mmm, just happened to me for the first time as well. Clearing the BETEO cookie seems to have sorted it, though.

...or maybe not. Oddly, if I try to log in without deleting my cookies it logs me in, logs me right back out again (as soon as I change pages) but still lists me as logged in on the front page.

Just had it again this time from my work pc. This time I got away with just deleting the BEEX.com cookies (and just like at home, this had never happened before on this pc)
