Everyone gets the same beers in the same days in their advent calendars?

That doesn't seem very good.

I mean, that's literally how all advent calendars of the same type work.

Yeah, but in the case of chocolate calendars and the like, they usually have plastic inserts for the chocolate to go into etc. so they have to fit a pattern.

Isn't this just basically a cardboard box with some dividers in to make up the numbers? They could slot any can they want into any space.

If it's bloody, you probably shouldn't eat it. Sounds a bit risky mate.

One of you should have started at 24 and counted down, so the doors told you how many days left until Christmas, and then you’d have had different beers.

It’s so great that there are so many alcohol-free options out there. I know the craft beer market has exploded anyway, but I think the alcohol free options are perhaps one of the greatest resulting changes.

How do you all not end up with A huge empty can collection? Some of the cans (in fact most) have great designs.

Haha. Last year we were having lunch and MrsA opened the fridge, and swiped a tin of these. She cracked it open and took a massive slough of it before spitting it all out into the sink. She claimed she thought she had grabbed a tin of coke.

This doesn't stop you being a monster.

It's something I've been exploring over the past few months, spurred on by the surprising awesomeness of the alcohol-free Guinness . Some have been acceptable, others more like dishwater. But anything that stops me gaining so many calories each evening can only be a good thing.

Some are great, especially yesterday's, but I'm forcing myself to be brutal and just chucking them in the recycling. I have a tendency to cling on to things for sentimental reasons, so hoping that a photo will suffice.

I made Helen an advent calendar out of bread flour since I was vac-sealing it by the kilo.

Do you use a chamber vacuum sealer for that? I'd imagine a normal one would suck up the flour like it was a liquid.
