From the Switch thread :

Quote:
Is it worth looking at having a BEEX 'family' ?

https://www.polygon.com/2018/9/19/17878 ... ontrollers

(as in we group together and buy a family online pass and get it cheaper)

Currently Shopto have this for £26.86

https://www.shopto.net/video-games/nint ... membership

So do we have enough people to make it worthwhile ?

If your interested in this post here and we'll see - a normal yearly Switch subscription is £16
https://www.shopto.net/video-games/nint ... membership

If we can get 8 people together (the maximum) then that's less than £3.50 each - if we could only get 4 then its still only £6.71 (less than 1/2 the normal cost of online for the Switch)

People interested so far :

Zaphod79
Mop (Lonewolves)
Malc (with a possible +1)

Quite possibly, maybe even for more than one of the 8 (if there are any extra going)

So the only real issue i can see with this is that whoever buys and sets this up is the admin , and as the admin can kick people out if they feel like it - or limit other peoples accounts while they are in the 'family' group

https://www.reddit.com/r/NintendoSwitch ... areful_if/

This is much more of an issue when your dealing with a bunch of random people you've never interacted with before than the people here but you should be aware of this.

I've recently signed up for this for myself and Jem, so I'm happy to add any interested parties to that if desired, and the share can be PayPalled to me or something (I paid the full price on the eShop though)

I'm fine with that as an answer - will leave this thread though in case we have a lot of other switch users who'd want to give it a go
