I also assume Grim...'s numbers are way off and there are plenty of other 'unusual' roles in play.

If it is just the wording in the role descriptio, that's merely unfortuante, and clever for the town to pick up on it and use it.

I'd think not - however this does make me think Troopers the SK and so killed me last night and is deserving of being lynched today :-)

Could you write a pointless peice of narration so they can argue about the significance of that? Like, I dunno, a comet apeparing in the sky with a red tail or something?

Let me tell a story. One day, there was a nice man called Trooper. His car had broken down and he was taking the bus instead. It was a nice day anyway, so he didn't mind the walk so much. But - oh no! The bus is already at the stop! Trooper ran like Billy-o, and leapt for the bus just as it was pulling away. But - oh no! The driver didn't see Trooper, and kept driving. Poor Trooper was dragged over the abrasive surface or the road, flesh stipping itself from his knees and elbows, grinding away at the bones underneath. At the next stop, someone gets off and sees poor Trooper, bloody and exhausted, hanging from the bus. They alert the driver who runs around.
"Jesus, man!" says the driver, as the passenger dials 999, "Why did you let me drag you all that way?"
Panting and exhausted, Trooper manages to force out "I have real trouble letting things go."

Can you do POTW nominations from within the Scum forum ? - this is a great candidate :-)

I get what it is.

ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
They've all used the phrase "sucks to be me", which presumably was in the role description for a vanilla townie.

Superb work by KC! "I didn't read the thread, but I'll vote". I think he'll be next.

I actually delay giving people access until they ask, on the whole, or until some time has passed.

Reason being that when I'm playing the game, and I go to the forum, if I can see the Dead Thread already, it kind of spoils the surprise for me.

Someone already did.

And I had wondered why people thought she was in the club.

They had not when I asked , however since you've now given her access we can find out what she thought the club was all about (and Grim... says that it was Alberto so we can ask him when he arrives - he may simply not have wanted to draw out the message any more) - oh and I can see the townie role is now in the rule thread (so congrats on spotting the wording Gazchap) , and no-one has yet commented on the X next to cop (so there could still be another one out there but if there is my moneys on it being a mutant cop)

I figure out what Grim..., nick and alberto were talking about as soon as I read the thread back and then looked at albertos posts from day one, it was pretty obvious really. I was nervous since I'd been quite talkative in the lead up to that so if I suddenly went quiet I felt like it owuld be a huge arrow above my head. I considered saying I didn't see it, but didn't want to point myself out as a power role, which would make the townies distrust me and the bad guys know for a fact I was not on their side. So I decided to join in. I didn't want to make the statement word for word as I felt the repitition would give it away so instead I admonished Nick for being too obvious about it, then alluded to the statement in my own post when I felt like I could slip it in naturally. I thought that I might be putting myself at risk but gambled that the bad guys would want to hit the unknowns to try and get the good power roles.
I actually had a daring plan I was going to execute today to try and buy myself another couple of days but didn't have time.
I'm still fosing TFF and Trooper, plus Malc 74.

I'm just disappointed that I was killed on night 1. My first post on day 1 was:
Quote:
What's that light coming through the window?
Aah, morning.

Which was a paraphrase of a quote from Romeo and Juliet:
Quote:
But, soft! what light through yonder window breaks?

I was going to do something similar in at least one post every day, never got chance :(

I think whoever runs the next game needs to put codes in everything - and have trooper's hidden talent be something about spotting or solving them , it we could just harness some of the rage generated then we could have almost as much power as having people jumping on grenades or plugging solar chargers into themselves.

Hello!

Everyone really barrelled in on me there when I said they wouldn't be able to come up with a GOOD reason to lynch me.

When I came back to check the thread I was already dead.

Oh why did you have to act all oddly Russ?!? We were floundering wildly and it put you above the parapet! Oh my poor boy in blue, what have we done?!

I really wish Grim... had been able to operate in a nudge nudge wink wink kind of way on day 2, and didn't demand open validation that somebody had noticed what he'd said. While the discussion got unintentionally hilarious as a result, it really ruined the quiet taking of names I was doing. I instantly backed down on the anti-Grim... theory I'd put forward to start the day and unvoted, wasn't that validation enough?

I do feel stupid though for never actually bothering to check what Gill said... she made a post, I skimmed it, Grim... said "woohoo, another one!" and I just thought to myself "oh cool, another one" and never checked the claim

I don't know where they go from here to be honest. I think both Malcs are trouble though (obv now I've read this thread I know Bobby is turned freaky zombie thingy, but I'm not sure I see the difference in him)

Is Kovacs putting this on ?

I know from his posts elsewhere he's been stressed and has been flat out at work but is he really not getting whats going on or is this intentional trolling ?

I don't like saying things like this (much) but Kovacs is consistently dense in any scum game and as such is so hard to suss out whatever his role; arguably he's best bumped off even if you're 100% sure he's vanilla. He's not acting, he's incapable of guile because he's incapable of coherent thought process.

I have to say, when I was in the game it completely slipped my mind that there might be a recruiting role in play. As such, since we know mutants can recruit (the town don't, but WE do), then in hindsight they must be huge favourite because all the Club has actually done is give a list of people who the town will trust for them to target and turn. If there's any sanity in this game, one of Grim... and Nik surely MUST have been turned mutant on the 2nd night. Unless they tried to turn me but I died first, I suppose.

They CAN recruit, can't they Curio? I'm basing that off your Ruleset question re:Bobby on night 1, but may have misunderstood...

Amazing. At least he had a go at something though, I thought it was fairly clear Trooper was lying, especially since his Fairy Princess role didn't actually have a win condition and was a duplicate of Romeo & Juliet :D

I really had not realised that TV had voted. Else I would have held off.

It was really confusing, especially with trooper throwing a mental for 7 pages.

Hence I asked for a summary, and voted to be 'in' with the crowd as I had not voted day 1 at all..

Bugger, I am the worst doctor in the world, everyone I visited was fine....

Wanted to post more but didn't want to stick myself on the radar for lynching, especially when there was the magic meta code....

Excellent game though, hilarious to read Troop having a melt down.
