There's a very good reason we're found at different ends of the camera.

Hello, 911? I've just witnessed a fucking murder.

Not sure I'd call it a stunt, it's a great sequence but the actual stunts are perfectly ordinary. So many better actual stunts.

In the sequel he does almost the same thing, but kicks someone rather than just stepping out.

Every time I've seen you lot talk about Singham I've thought 'holy shit that sounds awesome, my kind of film' and then never get round to watching it.

Is it, as someone asked earlier, better watched after a few bevvies when friends are round?

Indeed. But would it be better drunk and with friends than sober and alone?

Like literally everything else in the world - yes.

Sundays at the cottage are a superposition of both the classical states of drunk and hungover. It's only when they're observed that it becomes one or the other (depending on whether you subscribe to the Copenhagen interpretation or the Many-Worlds theory).

HMG's response to the Trump petition, due for debate in Westminster Hall next week:

Quote:
HM Government believes the President of the United States should be extended the full courtesy of a State Visit. We look forward to welcoming President Trump once dates and arrangements are finalised.

HM Government recognises the strong views expressed by the many signatories of this petition, but does not support this petition.

During her visit to the United States on 27 January 2017, the Prime Minister, on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen, invited President Trump for a State Visit to the UK later this year. The invitation was accepted. This invitation reflects the importance of the relationship between the United States of America and the United Kingdom. At this stage, final dates have not yet been agreed for the State Visit.

Foreign and Commonwealth Office

The TL;DR was: we really need to appease this man's ego because otherwise we're going to be even more f-cked on the world stage.

I appreciate that international relations means having to be nice and throw out the bling to some ghastly people for the country's interest, and, let's be honest, Mr Trump is nowhere as bad as some of the people we get the bling out for. But I still think Mrs May was far too hasty to offer one so early. It smacked of desperation.

I keep hearing this about other countries being worse but it's utterly facile. For a variety of reasons we hold different countries to different standards all the time.

Oh aye. Not doubting that it's complicated, or that I am not very well-versed in international relations.. The government probably took the measure of Mr Trump and realised that showing him round a village pub was probably not the way to impress him. A strong president and/or a strong prime minister, well aware of the deep links between our two countries, probably wouldn't need such flattery.

By all accounts the Royal Family dislike him, so it should be fun. Maybe William can ask him about the tweets Trump did leering over the topless pictures of Kate.

Also, I see the Trump administration has lost its first member to a corruption scandal. Probably won't be the last.
