Witnessed the first sort of conversation my son (almost 3) has had with a child his own age tonight

His cousin is staying for a week and she is a little over 4.

So he is watching TV and she comes running in and says "Noel do you want to catch bubbles with me in the garden?"

He says "No I'm watching TV"

So the makings of a gamer there:)

A women at work who I get on very well with decided to loose some weight.

A guy who she works with was rubbishing her and saying she would never do it. Their conversation ended with them betting that he would eat a raw onion if she lost the agreed weight by Monday.

Just watched the twat eat an onion at his desk with about 40 other people :DD

Amateur. The trick is to say "I'll lose weight with you", then purchase 5 pairs of identical work trousers in incremental sizes. Every 3 weeks, wear the trousers that are too big and show off the gap between tummy and waistband. Alternatively, buy identical belts and artificially wear the holes that make it larger.

Beer ! My first since March 2015 when Mrs JC and I did a 29 day cruise to the Caribbean. I never ever drink but always buy a few tins when the Euros or world cup are on.

JC is on the sauce, you heard it here first!

Had my first ever visit from my social worker today. It was fucking awesome !

OK so I have been staring at these PIP forms for about a week now worrying myself sick.

She arrived at about 8:45 and within an hour she had filled them all out, listed all of my meds and then took the forms with her so SHE can get a covering letter from my doc, pysch and of course herself before sending it all in for me !

Flabbergasted tbh. Usually if I need to apply for something the worrying begins and then I have about a week of hell rushing around in a panic trying to get them all filled out. I have trouble writing too and the one part I had to do was sign and date the forms and I even fucked that up lol. I wrote the 29th in OK but got confused with my birthday for some reason and put in the month as January and the year as 1974. Fuck me I am so glad I did not have to fill them out. It would have taken me all day and made me ill.

She said if I have to go to ATOS (about 30 mins drive they're in Portsmouth) that she will take me.

Absolutely chuffed TBH. This stuff normally takes me weeks.

So a big yay from this end. Apart from the weather, it's freezing !

I wouldn't mind one of the later AGS-101 models to see how good that screen is. Certainly looks a lot better in the photos...

A lot pricier though.

Ashens did a good GBA roundup

I bought one of the REVO units he spoke about at the time and it works great for real or rom GBA games , although they seem to be a bit more difficult to find now.

I also have this sitting on my desk :

I went down this route for GBA games -
Attachment:

Bit dark, but you can see the Retron 5 in the bottom right. Nice console, but the controller isn't the comfiest. At least you can plug in genuine SNES/MD pads though.

I realise it rather removes the portability of GBA games though :)

I use a GP2X Wiz for my GBA games and yes, the screen on that Gameboy is really bright. If anything though, it's too bright and shows up some imperfections.
