Thanks - I've actually already seen that, as my company did the initial product research (for GH).

The protesters doubled down on the irony stakes by playing Queen's 'I want to Break Free' from their ghetto blasters. Again, since the verdict they're protesting is regarding two men being guilty of human slavery, well... yeah.

They've gone home now. But I am reliably informed that they shall be returning tomorrow to conduct a march. Maybe it's time to take some photographs.

Well, yeah. Excited as I am by clients getting to Beex, realising who "Grim..." is and then reading what I've said about where I work.

It's alright, I'll nerf all the mentions is a bit.

My GF has just turned the page to that review, and was somewhat taken aback.
I think she was even more taken aback by me knowing that it was in this month's issue, courtesy of Beex.

I just read a couple of interesting ideas on the pressure of choice:

Quote:
The Philosopher – Joel Anderson
The hardest part about making a decision is that, by choosing one option, you say farewell to other, equally beautiful, options. It is a loss. And that is tiring. Making a decision involves a degree of mourning over what will never be. You have to continue life in the knowledge that the other options are not going to happen.

The Author – W.L. Tiemeijer
In short, you have a lot more choices to make than ever before. In the end, this makes people feel like if anything goes wrong, it is their fault. In the past, you were ‘struck by misfortune;’ now, you ‘have made the wrong choice.’ All this freedom of choice is putting a lot of pressure on people. The pressure makes it harder for people to make decisions, because tension diminishes your cognitive ability.

I have a friend who told me recently that her partner has been quite annoyed with her in the past when they have been at a restaurant and she has taken over an hour to choose what to eat for fear that she will be upset and regretful if she doesn't absolutely love and enjoy her meal.

Sometimes I get choice paralysis when there are too many options and the atmosphere is loud and busy, and especially if I am being asked repeated questions (say, by the person taking the order), which is why I can't stand fast food places.

Interesting quotes.

My favourite way of breaking choice paralysis, if it's a simple either/or option, is to toss a coin but not reveal what side is up. Usually my brain will immediately go 'NO, please don't be that option' or 'I really hope it's that one'.

Six sandwiches, two sizes of fries and eleven drinks != "no choice".
