Is it November? It must be time for the bad sex writing awards, then.

Lots of biting this year.

It's not a massive issue nowadays, is it?

I mean, obviously it's not ideal, but it's no longer the huge deal it was if you're lucky enough to live in the West (and can afford the treatment) , right?

Essentially, yes. Fuck knows how much treatments in the states cost though. The couple of people I know have been HIV + for nearly 20 years now.

Yeah, I've seen it said that now, if you've had it caught early enough for the medication to have full early effect, and can afford that medication for life, and nothing goes wrong, it is no more life threatening than medicated diabetes. Of course (as too with diabetes) you could later suffer from something else independently, such as cancer, which then whacks your medication out and then you have issues.

However Meds are very specific to the strain and Medicare will just put you on the generic pathway, so you have to be loaded (or have amazing insurance) to afford all the work to get that success factor. I think only 30% of Americans with HIV are in that position.

A while ago I had a DLC code for Ridge Racer unbounded that didn't work. When I entered it into my Xbox it said that the code had already been used.

I emailed the Namco helpline people and within a day or two, they apologised and sent me, not only the code I was missing but a ton of other DLC codes. All for extra cars and skins etc. Very good.

The other night I tried to enter a code for Mortal Kombat and the same thing happened, the code had already been used. I've emailed them and they've replied asking for pretty much every bit of proof that I own the game! They want scans of the box and disc, copies of receipts with my email address written on them, dates and times of where it was purchased and all sorts.

I wouldn't mind but it's only for a change of costume for Scorpion.

They might be trying to track something down, or even prosecute someone. As such they would require proper evidence of somesuch.

They might just be being dicks, though.

I find it hard to believe that in the 21st century a country can be so backward, yet they are lent an air of respectability.

By us! And Prince fucking Charles!

Why aren't our leaders deliberately snubbing the fuckers at international conferences or shouting "oi, whatsyourchops, stop being an utter khunt you despicable human being" at them across the room or something similarly diplomatic-speak.

I utterly despair.

We should invade them and take all their money. There, that's a solution.

Sorry, I came over all Tony Blair there for a second.

How do you find RR Unbounded mate?

This game broke my heart, I can't stand it. Calling this a Ridge Racer when the cars don't even drift right FFS (not even at all) and there's all that Burnout-style damage and smashing stuff up etc. just sucks IMO. Bug Bear (who were commissioned by Namco to make this game) should be strung up; who in their right mind would have signed off this unplayable, buggy mess (esp. online modes) as "the next Ridge Racer"...? >:(

Namco just ignored the clamour of their enraged fanbase and appear to have zero interest in the RR franchise now. :'(

@cavey It seems I have the same opinion as you about it!

I wanted to like it, I really did but it just wasn't Ridge Racer. I wanted bright colours, drifting and proper racing. I didn't last long with it and eventually, I think I started to play the 3DS version which was most enjoyable.

Yeah the PSP version is mega (and can be played on the Vita). The Vita version itself is one of the worst games ever released.

What's the name of the PSP version, Mr Warrior? My Vita's PS store is offering up Ridge Racer Type 4 and Ridge Racer TM (for exciting tracks twisting in and out of intellectual property issues). And approximately 6,000 Ridge Racer songs. Which is of course exactly what I'm looking for. Sony dickheads.

Thank you! There's a solid £4 difference between Ridge RacerTM and Type 4, so I'll try the cheaper Type 4 if that's good too.

I've got it with the Jogcon controller which was ace. It only worked with this one game I believe but it was still great. It did the whole tactile/force feedback thing very well.

It was released on PSN (for the PS3) a few year back mate, don't know if it's still on there. I never really got into it (personally I love RR7 and loved the original arcade RR and PS1 RR2)

RR7, my fave game of all time and the only one I've ever 100% completed (including all the extra online content/career mode challenges - one of these was almost impossible, the "UFRA Special Event 15", a time attack using one of the special cars. Must've taken me at least 200 attempts, probably more, and I eventually did it with three thousanths of a second to spare :D )

"You got nitrous"
"See you at the finish line"
"Triple baby!!" [gotta love triple nitrous on the Himmel EO, RR's "Porsche" :D ]

Neither, it was drying out. I decided to do the sensible thing and cook it all. I'd make an awesome bachelor.

Over the weekend I read this article...

http://www.cracked.com/blog/isis-wants- ... -magazine/

Strange to think that in this day and age it's a comedy website that provides the most concise information on ISIS. More valuable information in the article than the seemingly hundreds of hours of 24 Rolling News I've seen in the last week.

From about 2007 to around 2013 I used to read Cracked regularly. Sometimes they could really cover complex issues well and with sufficient knob gags to keep people interested and they frequently had quite serious coverage of stuff in their own style. Then it kind of went crap and samey so I haven't visited for about two years. Will check this one out when I get home.
