It is a lot of coins. Far more than it asks for most simple things.

Silly game, but of course seeing how many alliances of 20 there are, people are quite clearly willing to pay.

Don't forget you can skip ones you don't want to fight.

Try using boosts, or just losing to the highest ranked one so you don't lose much.

Or just move on to a different tourney.

The Simulator is running again.

But this time the big ISO rewards are only 1k and 2k for normal and hard respectively. Boo!

On a positive note, the game has given me tons of Falcon covers. He's still a bit lame, but much better than the version everyone else in that tourney has!

Hell no. Him plus 2* wolverine is an awesome combo. Litter the board with strike tiles then boost the shit out of them.

The falcon event seems pretty easy. Despite not having a falcon cover i was no 1 for a fair time and am still in the 20s now having only played a couple of games today.

I fear I have won too much and been put in a high bracket, as every other fucker I try to beat now has a 141 Punisher, 141 Hulk and 85 OBW or Thor.

If Hulk has 5 in his black power, I steer well away.

Some powers really go fucking nuclear on the 5th upgrade. Notable ones are Hulk's black power (more tiles and mandatory damage), Grey Widow's green power (from 1750 to one person to 2250 to all enemies) and Hood's yellow (from massive destruct + damage + AP but ends the turn to simply doesn't end the turn).

Any others as stark a comparison? Those are just the ones I saw recently.

As an aside, how useless is Hood's black power?

You just have to believe. Hope it went ok. Touch and go there.

I've now got c60k in ISO and all I keep getting is shitty covers. I got a recruit token for the Falcon lot yesterday and it very kindly dished out Spidey with the bag on his head. FFS.

Buy some covers using your ISO. You can get 120 standard cover packs with that. I don't know the exact odds but I think it's about a 1 in 5 chance of getting a 2* or better card, so you'll get some character to improve soon enough.

I find Daken is better, because you don't have to work as hard for his strike tiles.

I heart you.

I just managed to completely miss that you could get the cover packs for ISO. I've just filled my boots and got some good stuff - cheers.

Hurrah, just finished 4th overall in the falcon event. Hopefully that will yield some alliance goodies too.

Nice. How many points did you get? I had about 730 when I whacked a shield on about three hours ago. I should finish somewhere in the Top 50 too.

We finished 808th (out of 18,503), which nets us each 50 gold and 1000 ISO.

I came 31st in my section, so now have a fully covered Punisher :D

Ended up with 1007. Bit lucky really as the people behind me were only a few points behind, but the people in front had a few hundred more so i wasn't going to catch them.

Actually, yeah. He's super useful as he boosts your attack and heals himself most of the time.

White Magneto can be crazy useful when you're fighting NPCs. He's particularly strong when combined with the 2* Widow. And Widow should be one of your first priorities to level up because she heals and so allows you to use your first-choice team way more often than if you're relying on healing tokens.

My 2* Level 85s are Black Widow, Storm, Ares, Wolverine and Magneto (plus Daken maxed-out at 69), if that's any help? And I did most of Wolverine's levelling before they nerfed him a couple of months ago, I probably wouldn't prioritise him over Thor or Ares if I was starting from nothing now.

I've now got two Psylocke 3* covers. Not sure if I should sell or make room to recruit - what's the general consensus?

Having not used her, the advantage I would see would be if they run another Psylocke event where she'd be boosted, or if there's any 'essential' missions.

I've regretted every sale o a character I don't have, expect for the 1* ones. So if you don't absolutely have to sell, I would keep as many covers as you can

I've got 17 slots now though but I'm also feeling the "don't sell" pangs.

Which means more fecking IAP.

Just replay the essential missions once a day or so, and occasionally the others if you have time; should keep you up near the top (unless it's a 4am finish time, in which case top 50 is your best bet).

Wow. The Doom/Doomclone/Fireboy team is a nightmare to fight. Summon Demons on turn 3 every time to add 900+ to every attack, then Firey attack tile one the next turn so every turn they're hitting for 2000 damage. Hard to stay alive for long!

Yeah, but he needs a lot of black to do his thing.

Anyway, nailed it with Daken, Magneto and Storm.

I see some of us are around the 4k mark for Season One. 5k is the 10-pack reward of 10 cards of at least 2*. There's still 13 days and 9 hours to get there, so definitely worth trying on all the events to get as many season points as possible.

Those of us who make it, post what you get!

If you get a tourney with a card you already have at a high level, you should be able to boost up by 500 in a day without too much trouble.

No idea which ones are next though. Dr Doom has been tricky as everyone just loads the other two slots with Thor/Ares and OBW, all maxed out.

I just spent £2.99 to shut you up, Gaywood!

There is an open slot.

In other news, the new animations in the latest update are pretty swish.

Every time I get above 700 on this Doom event it screws me over. First turn for the enemy team and they net 20 of each colour off a ridiculous chain. Impossible to win from that.

Also a bit tired of almost every single match being a race to see who can get to OBW's pink steal first. Whoever does it, wins, with no exceptions so far.
