It appears that the Elite power adapter that Mr Grim... kindly sent with the Eggbox does not fit. There is a little bar across the adapter that meets up with a knob of plastic in the socket and prevents the adapter being inserted.

I seem to remember hearing that there were two different types of connectors with different ratings and the like, and that you shouldn't mix and match. Although I also seem to remember that they were different sizes.

But presumably the power brick that came with the Premium which Grim... kept must fit his Elite, as he sent me the power brick from the new elite and is presumably playing on it.

Seems likely. Or possibly, as you only send away the xbox and not the power supply, they replaced the motherboard with one with a different connection. Which would be silly of them.

Mr Chris-Ive just added a fair sized list of cheap pre-owned games from CEX's website in the bargains thread, that will build up your xbox 360 games library to a stupid amount that you can never play them all ever which is a position all 360 owners have to endure.
