Mark X - can you confirm that your 6-2 drubbing by Ramsea stands as a result? It wasn't published as a fixture until yesterday, so I'll need confirmation.
Yes, it certainly does count as a result (despite the temptation to try and strike my abject performance from the SWOS record books).

Mark X and myself played the final two games of our groups. First we played a classic friendly, with me as the forumites and him as the emotions. I took an early lead with two goals by Craig. Two goals by piteuous (one before, one after half time made it equal). Craig scored again, he equalised and took the lead 4-3. Ten minutes before time I equalised as well. 4-4! I couldn't get to grips with at all.
A cracking match indeed, and a game worthy of any tournament. As might be clear from my results, I've been putting in a bit of practice after my drubbings by Ramsea. I wasn't wholly sure it wasn't a 'proper' match, as I think the mic on my headset is playing up, so Romanista couldn't hear me asking. It's a real shame XBLA SWOS doesn't allow for saving highlights like the Amiga original.

MarkX (Zombies) - Romanista (Emotions) 1-0
Mark took the lead after 13 minutes, and even though his gamertag is broken (tv), i couldn't find a way to get in. We both got some chances, but somehow i never felt i could recover.
To be fair to Romanista, this match could easily have gone either way, with some cracking saves by the Zombie 'keeper (and some shameful hoofing the ball into touch at every opportunity in the last ten minutes by me).

Romanista (AFC Ajax) - Mark X (Liverpool FC) 2-2
The ajax system suited me a little better, but I still had difficulty against this formation, osme of my standard tricks didn't work (and I was getting a bit desperate, with sweaty fingers on my xbox joypad, i should have used my Hori). He scored 1-0 after 23 minutes, and 2-0 just after half time. But them somehow I retook my cool. Litmanen scored immediately after a trade-mark wing attack, and the rest of the second half I recovered my game, and scored 2-2 a ten minutes before time. The game could have gone eitherway afterwards, but my point was saved.
I was glad of the point at the end of this, as Ajax clearly had the momentum the get more goals at the end. Plus, with it being the 1996 Liverpool side, there was every chance my defence would wander off to appear in a Louise video or give an interview to Loaded magazine. So I'm happy with my four points - I was worried I'd end up as the Derby County of this group of death.

A relaxing Holland-Wales followed, with a another tie (1-1), showing how close our battles were...
I'm tempted to make a point here that me picking Wales wasn't sheer arrogance on my part after getting some decent results in the previous two matches, it was a genuinely good Welsh side. Southall only just past his best in goal, a choice of Imperial Phase Dean Saunders, Mark Hughes and John Hartson Before He Got Fat up front, a tyro Ryan Giggs out left, Gary Speed running the centre of midfield... but I'd only bore everyone so I won't.
