Saville Dead!
How's about that then?

He's not recently deceased.

That's why the necrophiliac needs to be locked in, I've thought this through pretty well.
I don't think Jimmy is actually going to care, what with him being dead.
also necrophilia is illegal in the UK, so you are advocating kidnapping someone, locking them in a room with a significantly decomposed, illegally obtained body and forcing them to perform an illegal sex act on it. is this some sort of sick fantasy of yours?
There is really nothing that can be done to Saville as he is dead. Even his knighthood removal is a none starter as these die with the recipient.

It’s easy to be wise after the event put if you look at his hair in the 60’s and 70’s when it was long, he looked like a child catcher from a Grimm’s fairy tale

Hopefully the BBC will be bought to task as they allowed a culture to grow unchecked that let him get away with abuse for years.

Also hope they put Freddie Star and Glitter in jail if it’s proved they were involved.
The papers are about to lead on the murky antics of another deceased children's entertainer:

And I always thought it would be that one from Fingermouse who was going to be the weirdest of them all.
Did everyone know about this?

Yep.

Chinny had that picture hidden up his sleeve somewhere.

In a strange happenstance, one of his victims is a friend of my Ma's. 8) Savile, that is. Not Sutcliffe.
I must have repressed seeing it, originally.
This old interview with Saville on the sadly missed 'Off the Telly' site continues some lines that these days can only been read with a sick mind:

Quote:
“Ooo, Jimmy’s got too moral, it won’t work”. It only ran for 20 years! We made decency not only popular, but wildly successful.

Quote:
I swear to you, true story, I walked down into the audience, and they were going, “10, nine, eight,” and I was looking around and I saw this girl. I said, “Come here”. “Five, four,” I sat her down. “Three, two, one”. “Good evening ladies and gentlemen, it’s Clunk-Click, Bob’s your uncle … Now then [to the girl], what’s your name?” This was a girl who was very attractive...

Quote:
Well, you see, I’m not keen on kids. I’m a single fella, I’m not into kids at all. And they suddenly sussed this. So I’m not some yucky adult that talks to them … And of course, even though I’m not a kids’ person, very often they had to prise the bloody kids away from me with a crowbar! You know!

No doubt that Louis Theroux doc will have a more outings soon, with the audience observing every twitch.

Watched a bit of that on YouTube earlier. There are some howlers in it.

Louis: You used to be a wrestler, didn't you?
Jimmy: Still am! I'm feared in every girls' school in Britain.

"Alleged transcription" of Merton really going for him on HIGNFY. Apologies if it's already been posted.
That's fake, but is oddly prescient. It's been doing the rounds for nearly a decade now :)
Yeah, it is rather too good to be true. Far too splenetic to be Merton... :p
Drove past this business in east london today, bet they're regretting the name...

Can someone explain why there are multiple investigations going on and politicians saying things like, "there should be a single investigation into the Jimmy Saville and the BBC headed up by a single organisation!"? Surely we have such a department to investigate criminal claims and stuff already? Why does it being the BBC make it any different?
Because the Met's been so good at its job lately ever.

Because it's a public funded body and it's easy to use as a political punch bag to score cheap points.

Also debunked on HIGNFY last week/week before.

Because suddenly, someone told the tabloids about him. Nothing to do with a carefully timed attack on the BBC, oh no. If that was true, they'd have known for years whilst having the clout to do something about it. Unlike individuals in the BBC who would have been sued for libel. So no, it can't be that.

In fact it's the fault of *all public services*, apparently.
Somebody please destroy the BBC before a dead pedophile rapes all our children!
I blame their ivory pensions and gold plated towers!
... On the other hand though, it really *is* starting to look like the BBC has been rotten to the core on this, the more we get to hear of the stuff that apparently went on, for years?

I'm normally the first person to defend the BBC as well. I don't think this is going to end well at all, especially after the lawyers have fully sank their teeth into this thing, chasing the inevitable telephone number compensation claims bandwagon. It'll be the taxpayer that picks up that tab, no doubt.
I would have thought the insurers would. But, yeah, it is more than disappointing that so many knew and so little was done.
The BBC is so big it probably self-insures up to a limit.
Just realised there'll be at least one good thing to come of this, the near certainty of an excellent topical new Luke Haines song.
As for the bbc being sexist in the 70s, surely most organisations were sexist in the 70s?

Malc
I'd hardly characterise these various allegations as simply "being sexist".

Regrettably not. My company insures them to the tune of a fuckload of money. Had to pay out for the lost tapes from the riot fires and now possibly this. There goes my bonus...
Don't they have an excess then? Just curious.

Plus we're talking about historical insurance policies dating back to 70/80's who would have been on cover at the time.
Ian Fairies wrote:

Oh, I'd imagine so. But this would destroy it, big time.
Correct me if my insurance knowledge is borked, but each PI claim would be a separate claim on the policy not a cumulative claim. The most serious PTSD or psychiatric damage cases wouldn't reach an upper most limit anywhere near £80,000. I'd image pay outs would be under £20,000, if that.
I know little of the volume of claims beyond tabloid speculation at 'millions'. An underwriter mentioned it in passing as a concern though.

Pretty sure it'd be cumulative in terms of claims, though it depends on the structure of the contract. Lawyers going' get paid, and that invariably hurts us!
Sadowitz's material has been alarmingly prescient, eh?
*shrugs* only a sack of meat, innit. Corpses, I mean.

Would you be happy if Saville handled your Dalepak gammon steaks?

With his penis?
It is a little odd that people would think of this as being somehow worse or more "sick" than abusing a living person. Corpses can't be traumatised, don't have lives to screw up, etc.

(As should go without saying, this is not to condone cadaver-fiddling.)
Just as well the dead can't sue.

Now an MP has raised questions in the House about a peadophile ring surrounding an aide to a previous Prime Minister -but he's not saying who. My money's on Pitt the Younger.

This is getting more Chris Morris-esque by the day.

Lonely bachelor, who spent his elderly years increasingly isolated from a world he was railing against...

Oh god.

Have you ever tasted Dalepak Gammon steaks?
The thread title needs amending with a "fucked the".
