What have you learned today?

Today I learnt that the last Green Day album is an intolerable bag of arse gravy.
I've learned that I missed an awesome Arcade Fire performance at Leeds Fest because of a stupid broken leg. Also, Modest Mouse.
Today I learned that the wife gets upset if you run the dishwasher while she's in the shower.

Simple solution - next time she's in the shower, get your Marigolds on, grab a couple of dishes and some Fairy Liquid, and get in the shower with her.

Obviously, never explain, never apologise etc.
I learned bacon and cheese in a tube is tastey.
Not sure I'd trust cheese coming from a bacon tube.

I will never finish Green Day Rock Band because of :this:

I learned that Nick isn't Jewish, in spite of his surname. :DD

(I realise that this might get me in trouble, but I took a risk.)
I presumed he was a hardbitten New Yoik cop.
Eh? It's a Polish surname, isn't it? Poland is 90% Catholic - the pope is Polish!
Yeah I fucked it up. Stupid permanent internet. Still, the shower one was funny, wasn't it?
Nick Kochanski? I certainly thought he'd be more attractive.
It was OK.

Today I learned that Johnny needs to try harder.
Nick does look like Clare Grogan. Though that might just be the hair.

Did we time travel back to 2005 when I wasn't looking?
Hah! No I'm not Jewish.
Bacon is delicious.
I honestly don't think I've learned anything. I never learn, me.

Today I learned that Myp is obviously from some kind of freaky alternate dimension where Pope John Paul II is dead.
You. You're Nick.

OK now I feel old.
You're old when "Retro gaming" means PS2 to some people on here.

Hi. I'm Nick.

And I don't feel too young!
You're only as old as the console you used to use before you started using the one you're on now, as the saying goes.
The last Green Day song I liked was Minority.

Anyway, today I've learnt how to edit a basic wedding video... and I mean basic!

I did manage to put Suddenly by Angry Anderson on it though.

Ouch. I thought that whole album was a bit boring. Then again, I thought American Idiot has a few great songs on it, so ymmv.

Today I learned... hmm... that even though it's still August, and Leeds Festival is on, there are still enough dickhead students in my area to really annoy me.
Today I learned that Old Holly Farm is much better than Farmer Parrs. And they make a superb Steak and ale pudding.
BREAKING NEWS: Have just learned that my telephone auto-corrects 'studenty' to 'driftnet'.

Headingley is rather driftnet...
I just learned that a toad lives in my woodshed.

No, wait, that's more of a discovery.
He was just resting. Toads are my favourite creature ever.
Today I learned I am a :belm:

We're all capable of that Meems, I wouldn't let it keep you awake at night.

Today, I learned nothing I didn't know already, but that didn't make some of the things I experienced any less perturbing.
It's the sudden realisation that's shocking :p

It's learning to live with it that will make you better than most
My God! Have you... Have you told them?
The vessel with the pestle has the pellet with the poison, the flagon with the dragon holds the brew that is true.

True, and to be fair I didn't learn that today.

Today I learnt that my mobile phone's camera can see infra red light as demonstrated by this image

I'm trying to think of a use for this new found knowledge...
Today I learned that metalangel was right.
Really? Four? I wouldn't have thought that was physically possible?!
Ooooh, cryptic. Was it about trains?
Today I have confirmed what I learned previously, viz, my boss's boss is a complete tosser incapable of making the simplest of decisions.
