(What's the Story) Morning Glory:
Mr Chris

Saturday 27th February 2010

The plan is: those who want to/can afford to book rooms in the Manchester City Centre Premier Inn, buddy up and do so. Those who can't/don't want to are welcome to crash at Alberto's (EDIT: house is now full - get your own accommodation you tight plebs)

You can either show up late morning at Skid's house, or meet us at the Salisbury at approx 1:30pm. There are plans to then go on to the Fab Cafe later in the evening, but if you turn up that late, don't expect me to remember meeting you. [Fab Cafe seems to be off, other arrangements will be made on the night]

Those that want to may be finding a corner of a pub to watch the rugby.

We shall then drink and talk until we want to drink and talk no more, then the Stockport contingent will get taxis back to 081 811 8181's house for more drinking/Xbox/techno/duvet singing combos (or maybe just sleep, depending on what time we get back), possibly via someone's hotel room first.

It depends on how people feel on Sunday, but perhaps we could meet up for breakfast somewhere before everyone leaves.

If you have never met any of us before (lucky you) and want someone's mobile number to contact in case you can't find us (lucky you), then PM me and I shall furnish you with mine. If you are intending on coming to 118 118's house first, then PM him and let him know.

There are two Friday meals: one for if you have money (or a high credit card limit) and one for the plebs. Contact Gaywood for the former and Albin0 if interested in attending the latter.

The cheap meal is at Gengis Khan's, you can check the menu here: http://www.genghisk.info/
Edited: iminence of event
Nov then.

Where can I stay?
myp wrote:

I resemble that implication, you bastard.

I will check with Mrs C on the dates.

Where is it proposed that people will be staying?
Shit, should've made this a Europoll.
If Mr Chris makes it I'll eat my head.
My favourite date just now looks to be the 28th of November. The date in Feb is tempting as well though because it is just after my anniversary so a weekend away could be on the cards anyway. I'll vote later on once I give it some more though but they are my current leanings.
I can't see the results.

[edit]There we are. Odd.
If Jen is working nightshift that weekend I'll be raging. Then I'd probably just go anyway :p
Any of the dates would be fine. Me and Miss Malabar would probably come — she's always wanted to call Myp a cunt to his face, I reckon.
Why isn't the Europoll stuff working? :(
Don't people tend to get paid on the 1st of the month? Meaning you've picked just before payday for four months in a row?
Probably because you did it wrong. Did you follow the instructions?

28th for me. But January is always a crap month for money, what with getting paid early and all.
Is anyone here actually from Manchester or has it just been picked for being vaguely central to everyone?

Because you did it. Should work now.
I still get paid weekly.

Hah. Wasn't the only person from Manchester Plissken, who's now moving to Ireland?

I clicked Europoll and selected '2' for options. Is that not correct?
Man I miss weekly pay. I get paid on the 27th. I love when the 27th is a Monday cos then I get it on the Friday night. Small pleasures.

The Albino Rhino is from Manchester, but don't let that put you off. ;)
It's central to a lot of the Northern scum, not to bad for the Scotchlanders and there's a helipad for That Londoners.
I reckon Jan or Feb. The end of this year is packed for me.

I get paid on the 20th.
I get paid on the last Friday of the month. And did in my last two jobs too. We also get our expenses cash back on a friday afternoon, which is brilliant.
Could we borrow The Mystery Machine from Grim...s mate to kip in?

It being in Manchester makes it less likely, I'll admit. The idea of being... up north. Blech.
Pfft, it's hardly a distance away from you at all.
myp wrote:

I wasn't aware I had mentioned distance as being the problem.
Plus Manchester is like the south but up north. It's hardly grim at all!
It's keeping his semi concealed when he meets me.

Moss Side is breathtaking in Autumn.

Hey, I might come.
Manchester is a train ride for me. Depending on the date, I'm a defo.

Germany is a fucking train ride for me, but I'm not going...

Hmm...
I work in Manchester. I don't think I've been killed once yet.
I'm not going that far.

Possibly.

Like I said, the poll's a guide. What dates can't you make?

A short train ride then, meaning no hotel nonsense for me.

I'd favour Jan or Feb.
Could be tempted, but not on 28 Nov.

*waits for landslide victory for that date*
<thinks>

Actually, if I'm in Derbyshire, it isn't too much of a hop.
Manchester is the best city in Englang. Much better than that "London".

Manchester, ey? Why not? I can go on any of the dates, although Halloween is probably a no.
I'm not travelling 209 miles...
Have it in Brum and I'll consider it
