Scandalous!

Da da da, da da. Da da da, da da da da da.

Etc.

Have recently rewatched his early standup shows on DVD. He is/was bloody funny.

Reddit's wife leaves him doodles of tiny vulgar unicorns

Terry Crews AMA, he is brilliantly enthusiastic about everything :D
Man, he so loves yoghurt.
OMFG I didn't know he did Old Spice commercials!

He did a rather special music video for Old Spice a while ago

For the hell of it, I had a go at the Reddit Secret Santa. Didn't get anything myself, but I'm pleased I made a random stranger happy (link). Just as well he didn't turn out to be a Man City fan.
Just what do you buy someone called Milf_grinder :D

Gloriously insane.
Just ran across this on Reddit

From GTAV

Edit: Fuck me, that's big.
That was a question in the What-If book (although it was on a planetary scale).

TIL (well, YIL) that because of his various cameos Stan Lee is the third highest grossing actor of all time (and has, by far, the best film average). http://www.the-numbers.com/people/records/
So nothing to do with his earnings, but the total gross take of all the films he's been in is the third highest? Makes sense. Weirdly worded though.
The chart of actors who've been in the most grossing films in a supporting role is fun. Check out number 2 - he's only done voices for animated stuff and things like Transformers. Who is he? No fucking idea!

1 Samuel L. Jackson 51 $4,823,853,782 $94,585,368
2 Frank Welker 29 $4,086,206,421 $140,903,670
3 Hugo Weaving 18 $3,834,951,387 $213,052,855
4 Gary Oldman 17 $3,513,567,164 $206,680,421
5 Warwick Davis 14 $3,506,957,852 $250,496,989
6 Jack Angel 18 $3,436,121,459 $190,895,637
7 Mickie McGowan 16 $2,989,300,678 $186,831,292
8 Stanley Tucci 31 $2,915,128,512 $94,036,404
9 Elizabeth Banks 19 $2,878,433,120 $151,496,480
10 Robbie Coltrane 18 $2,845,890,272 $158,105,015
In fact yeah, #s 2, 6, and 7 are all animated voice actors. Wow.
*Takes notes for the next Cottage quiz*

He's Scooby Doo!

(And also "the animal noise guy". He "voiced" Nibbler in Futurama, for example. He was a number 1 for quite a while.)
Yes, I knew Frank Welker was Nibbler right away. He's on some of the Futurama DVD commentaries and he's incredibly prolific.
Also Uni from the Dungeons & Dragons cartoon - which is the same noise, come to think of it.
Speaking of voice actors, Harry Shearer might well leave The Simpsons.

He voices (among others) Ned Flanders, Principal Skinner, Mr Burns, Waylon Smithers, Lenny, Jasper, Otto, Kent Brockman, Reverend Lovejoy, and Julius Hibbert.

Improvement!
Ugh, Christ, there's some properly hysterical stuff on there; not least a poll of how many people want the fired person to replace the CEO (why? what's the point of even asking that question?) and a thread hilariously entitled "They're probably just going to try to wait it out. KEEP THE PRESSURE ON UNTIL IT'S RECTIFIED. Downvote everything on the frontpage that isn't about this (and upvote everything that is). We can basically ruin their website: BECAUSE WE ARE THEIR FUCKING WEBSITE."
They're quite right, of course. The list of blacked-out subreddits is pretty enormous.

Happy 4th July, Reddit execs!
Reddit is an unusable, unreadable nightmare. How the fuck can you follow anything on that link?

This is so true. The mobile version of the site is much MUCH better.

(And not the shitty Beta version either)

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks this. I can't see the attraction of Reddit at all.

I like the beta mobile version.

Obviously I use RES to view the main site, as I'm not insane.

Pao (the CEO) has resigned, so they're half way there.

The other half was always going to be the difficult one.
Bwa-ha-ha-haa take that pitchfork mob!

"Wong posted the particularly illuminating missive in response to today’s official announcement that the site isn’t supposed to be a “bastion of free speech.” With the overarching message of the post being—way to get rid of the only person actually fighting for you, idiots."

Depends if you consider hundreds of thousands of users to be a 'pitchfork mob', and those were the ones who could be bothered to sign the petition. It didn't seem that Pao was a good CEO at all, what with her history of spurious sexual-discrimination lawsuits (that she lost) and using her newfound reddit power to prevent salary negotiations (because women aren't as good at it).

I'm been watching the drama unfold. yishan is revelling in his ex-ceo ability to declare his superior knowledge a bit too much. More than once he's said something that's been directly contradicted by people that actually work there (like saying a board member was Pao's boss where it's actually the other way around), and other such chuffing nonsense.

The fact that voat.co is pretty much an identical reddit clone just demonstrates that in terms of the technical platform provided, there isn't much novelty about anything the management does. I'd say the site's success, beyond it's self-feeding notoriety, is just the ability to stay up under load for the majority of the time. Everything else is pretty much built by users.

Not really. The board appoints the CEO, and the CEO is responsible to the board.
Don't argue with me, argue with the ex-ceo disagreeing with the incumbent staff. I haven't made a single post on reddit about the ongoing guff. It's mostly just a content and link aggregator with comments and dank memes.

Reddit's open-source - I strongly suspect there's more than a little of Voat that is entirely cloned from Reddit (although Voat's written in a different language).

Depending on the result with France , the game between Greece and Iceland gets weird

If its a 0-0 draw or either side wins , they *both* go out
If its a score draw , they go to penalties for one of them to go through

I find the daily 'commute observation' threads on /r/London strangely compelling. It's a bit like the creepy 'I saw my one true love on the Tube yesterday' column in 'Metro', but covering a wider range of glimpses of contemporary life. I don't even live in London.
I sometimes post in those.

That looks like an interesting read but I can't go any further as I'm using Adblock. Pah.
Adblock is the crappy choice nowadays - uBlock Origin is where it's at.

Anyway, here's the original file they link to:
