Bear in mind that if you were to drop the sub then resub you'd regain access to everything you previously had.

Again
Man, I haven't played PES in years.

And so you became a PES dispenser

It's a bit no-frills compared to FIFA, especially with the bulk of the team names being unlicensed, but I prefer PES 19 to FIFA 18 in terms of gameplay.
So... what you're saying is... the games you get on your paid for PS+ sub are effectively free.

This sounds like a statement I can fully endorse.

Absolutely. It’s the example I used when pointing out how wrong you were wrt HBM, where the games are the main and only benefit.

I’m glad we can draw a line under this now as we are in complete agreement.
Yes, PS+ games are free, just like humble subscription games.
PES has vanished, and Detroit: Become Human is in its place.

You should be pleased about that.

The 'digital deluxe edition' so includes Heavy Rain as well.
I have it already, which is a bit of a shame.
I never finished Heavy Rain

I bought the non deluxe edition about 2 weeks ago for about $5 i had left in my US account

After ripping into Beyond: Two Souls I said this:

No doubt Detroit: Pointless Colon will be on PS+ in a while and I'll have forgotten all of this; so I'll stupidly give it a chance and be back here saying more or less the same thing about it.

I wonder whether I'll prove correct.
I liked it a lot but it’s mechanically the same as the other games. If you don’t like the detective/actionQTE way his games are structured then you’ll not get much enjoyment here. Looks astonishingly good though.
Probably give it a miss then. I haven’t been gripped by one of his games since the Indie Profligacy
That's good news, I tried to buy Detroit when it was on a super cheap deal from Amazon, but they magically ran out of the cheap versions and it was only available at full price, after I bought it.

I never bothered trying to buy it again, and now I get it for free!
just downlading it, it can be another game i have no time to play

Horizon Chase Turbo has been on my Switch wishlist for a while now, so that’s nice.

It is bloody lotus turbo challenge Junior!!
Horizon Chase Turbo moves along nicely but there’s no detail in the tracks and it’s just a bit boring.
I really enjoyed Detroit: Become Human. It helped that it looked brilliant and several of the characters were genuinely likable. I haven't played any DavidCage'em'up since Fahrenheit, so I found the various methods of interaction to be surprisingly interesting and fun.
August is fucking excellent:

Wipeout*
Sniper Elite 4

* But I've already got it, so boo
Oooh sniper elite 4 for free!

Time to bust some nuts.
I have both of them, bah. I think that's the first time I've been hit with a double.

:this:

I have Wipeout on PS4 and Sniper Elite 4 on PC.

WORST MONTH EVER.

I really should turn my PS4 Pro on, it may have died of boredom or the capacitors might have gone bad.
Batman: Arkham Knight and Darksiders 3. Meh, but I guess Batman at least is worth a go.

Arkham Knight looks utterly fucking incredible--it's probably one of the prettiest games of this generation even now--and has a really good story with an interesting take on the Batman and Joker relationship; it's probably worth playing for that aspect alone. As an Arkham game it's definitely not the best mind - the Batmobile stuff is generally annoying and the combat eventually escalates to a degree of complexity that's genuinely just fucking irritating. 90% of it though is just 'more of the same' Arkham stuff, which I genuinely mean as a massive compliment because the core of it's still incredible fun, so if you haven't played one of these for a while it's very recommended.

I loved the first Darksiders game, even though it was pretty derivative, but the second one just bored the tits off me within a couple of hours of playing it. I can't even remember for sure what annoyed me about it. I think it might've been the ridiculous surfeit of loot that had to be constantly examined to see which thing had higher numbers than the other thing, plus the general lack of focus in the level design. It just felt like they tried to throw another couple of genres onto the already teetering pile that the original game was balancing and it finally collapsed under the weight. So, needless to say I've no interest in the third game, although I imagine there is some fun to be had with it if you enjoyed the previous installment.

You should send it to me. You owe it to the hobby of gaming to ensure as many people get to play games as possible.

Another month without it being turned on....

Hearthstone gets played every day though.

I played it on Easy and had no regrets for this reason.

It was pitched pretty well for the majority of the game I felt, it was just nearer the end that the memory load required to keep in your head all the moves required to beat the myriad of enemy types it would throw at you simultaneously got completely ridiculous. In hindsight I should've knocked the difficulty down at that point to keep my enjoyment up, but I'd finished the actual story by then and was just mopping up side quests and whatnot so wasn't too bothered. Well, that and the fact that idiotically I often seem to flat-out forget difficulty settings even exist e.g. getting the shit kicked out of me multiple times by the Minotaur in AC: Odyssey a week ago, and only being randomly reminded by a load screen tip way after I'd given up that I could've dropped the difficulty down. I then completely forgot again for a another couple of days and only remembered after narrowly beating the Cyclops in a similar encounter.

tl;dr: I'm a tit.
Last of us Remastered and MLB 19: The Show are your October games, as apparently confirmed during the Playstation event yesterday.
Myp! Myyyyyyypppp!

What's MLB:The Show like? Would someone who knows FA about baseball enjoy it?

I played it last night and loved it. It can get super tense, batting is a challenge, as is decent fielding. It is great!
Any idea what games are going to be sharted out in November?

Very close to buying a 12month sub!
Its normally announced on the last Wednesday of the month so should be tomorrow or late tonight

Reminder that 'Black Friday' is next month and you'll probably see some sorta deal for PSN renewals at that point
That's a very good point!
https://store.playstation.com/en-gb/pro ... SUBS12M050

£25 (so 50% off the RRP) for anyone who doesn't currently have an active sub.
You won’t get much cheaper than that. Still not enough for me to renew I don’t think. I don’t play the games and don’t play online.
I finally remembered to cancel the auto-renew on my PS Plus.

I'm sure it's good value for some folks but just ended up making no sense for me whatsoever.
I play most days and auto renewal makes no sense for me.
Nioh and Outlast 2.
Meh. I never got very far in the Nioh demo--I think I even retried it after my Bloodborne adventures and still got hilariously murdered--and after the boring experience of Outlast I'm in no hurry to try it's sequel.
No way. I'd just sold my physical copy of Nioh on eBay and wondered if I'd done the right thing.

Might just take the plunge as I like horror games and Outlast 2 sounds good.
Outlast 1 is great: scary, creepy, great characters and doesn’t overstay it’s welcome much at around 4 hours. There’s a few really good scares in there and some body horror stuff if you’re into that. On the other hand Outlast 2 is a steaming turd of a game that fails on all levels; plus the story requires you read some comics or something to understand what’s going on. It’s just terrible.

Nioh on the other hand is fucking brilliant! The combat, level design and bosses are all top notch for anyone who doesn’t have spacky hands and wants an actual challenge.
Ah, right. Disappointing the horror game is pap.

I'm up to the Quick Icy Lady on Nioh, is that about half way through?
Swaying back to spending money on Sekiro now rather than a 12month sub...

Titanfall 2 and Monster Energy Supercross are your PS Plus games for December
I admit to not having looked at it at all but Monster Energy Supercross sounds like the worst mobile game in the world.
Titanfall is glorious.
