Not really. You've either got gold or you haven't these days but good point. Would it upload the profiles if you just put the Xbox online? It's worth a try.
Crackdown is free.
SKILLS FOR KILLS, AGENT.

I played that again last year, it hasn't aged well.
Forza Horizon 4 is *gorgeous*, even on a 1080p screen.

Shhhh, don't tell the kids...

If you link the accounts to an MS email address it'll back everything up online - save games (provided you enable that on the 360), achievements, etc - without needing Gold.

Have you played it again since it got upgraded?

Also hush your mouth.

Haven't played the upgraded version, but the controls are terrible these days, goes against all the common control schemes these days and it just handled weird.
Any suggestions for local co-op I can play with the kids?

Overcooked! Either 1 or 2, but 1 will be cheapest.

Only follow this advice if you can deal with arguments and bickering on an astronomical scale.

Yeah, focused bickering will be a refreshing change :D

It's pretty much 99% of the time Sal and I argue. And it gets fucking personal.

Once, while struggling to keep my end of the kitchen under control, fighting the good fight to keep the flood of tickets under control, I look over, and MrsDoc's side was 50% on fire. I just put my controller down on the coffee table and mutely watched as the rising flames consumed us, bringing peace, at last, blessed peace.

Remember when we moaned at Nintendo for having chat on your phone? Well, if you’ve got the Xbox app you can chat in your phone!

Someone sent me an invite to join a party and it popped onto my phone as I’d left the Xbox on. I open up the app and I’m in the chat and talking into my phone while my mates got his headset on. It’s pretty darn cool (unlike that forced Nintendo shit) but, wild speculation, less an 1% will ever use and don’t know it even exists.

So yeah, this is a thing. I wonder if the PS app has it an’ all.
No voice chat for PS, but PS messaging is there.

I always get notifications on my phone about the Xbox but normally, my Xbox is in so I answer them there.

I didn't know this was a thing. Clever.

I've also gone for Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime, AKA that crazy neon co-op game that peeps were playing on the switch at the cottage.

It’s great. Maybe a bit hard for kids though.

It's OK. I'll give them the 360 controllers to hold :D
I had some fun playing worms battlegrounds (or whatever it's called) with Mini Fop, and she's proper shit at games. It's co op if you gang up on the other team, innit.
Black Friday deals early for Gold members. Full list of discounted games herewith but good luck looking at it if you’re on mobile...

December games:

QUBE 2 (whut)
Never Alone (that cutesy platformer with the kid with the artic fox. I think I said it was boring)
Dragon Age 2 (western RPG. It’s an old 360 game)
Mercenaries (YESSSSSSS! It’s an old OG Xbox game)

To conclude: a bag of shit.

Pretty boring, that is.
It’s fun enough in co-op.

Yay! Finally something exciting for the Xbox! Below is finally coming!!! Whoop.
How come my Twitter link ain’t doing the big picture thing?
Whip off the ?s=21 bit
Xbox Arcade isn’t looking too shabby this winter. Below, Ashen, hell, even a Wonder Boy title. Below is even a Games Pass title.

Below is almost out! It’s looking brilliant.

Or is it out already? Who knows. Says 14 December. Christ, that’s today! Must be out then. Maybe.

Actually I think it’s already out.
Just checked, it’s out. A penny shy of twenty quid. Let’s all get it. Go, go, Xboxers!
It looks interesting and I love the music but that trailer gives you no idea what kind of game it actually is.
Hmmm. Apparently it's a rogue-like with survival elements; a phrase almost guaranteed to turn me off sadly.
It's available on Gamepass as of today as well. If you haven't used your 14 day trial, you could sign up with that and find out what it's like.

What?! Is it, like, really? Oh fuck that shit then.

Unless it's massively changed since April:

Spelunky is a roguelike with survival elements and one of the best games I’ve ever played.
