Tabletop wargaming - nerdlinging to the max...
and other sundry models

Do you play tabletop wargames?
No, of course not. Tabletop wargamers are so nerdy they make PC fanboys look cool and studly.  34%  [ 25 ]
Yes. I love my little painted figures. I give them all names and stroke them every night. I live for weapons damage charts.  5%  [ 4 ]

Oh is that a printed miniature?

Yep! It's insane how much better third party Orks can be than GW's.
I like his little hand grenade

Love that
Bloody hell, that pic shows him off much better! Great job!
10th Edition: I can attach two characters to a unit, both are eligible to be attached to that unit, which on eis the leader? Do i choose? It's a captain and a lieutenant, and the latter leading makes things considerably less pleasant for any enemy infantry.

How I understand it, the unit gets the benefit of any bonus's from both characters so it doesn't matter. Both are "Leaders" who are leading the unit. When the "Body Guard" unit is destroyed, the characters become separated.
Don't think I have seen anything where you have to pick one to be the leader as normally a unit can only have one character attached.

Super, thank you. It's.nkt the most efficient army but there's A Plan and some lolz could be had: "roll a one and his head explodes".
Help! Youngest has decided he likes this stuff. In clueless. He has a few space marines and Tyranids. Looking for a nice box/case to store his models and paints, for Christmas.

Any recommendations for such a thing?
If you want something just to store things while he's painting them, the drawers on this are perfect for citadel paint pots: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Exerz-EX3205-D ... 2714/?th=1

If he wants something to carry minis to games etc: https://www.greenstuffworld.com/en/for- ... -foam.html althought you might want to go for a rigid case if he's especially heavy handed.
Played a big game on a proper table. My Blood Angels against Adeptus Mechanics. Jeff was a superstar and after being taken down to three wounds in turn one, somehow survived to rip through two tanks, a unit of infantry, and two robots.

Game took over six hours and we ended it at the end of turn four.
I transported my stuff using two tuppaware boxes and bog roll.

Thank you! Love the drawer organiser and the case. Thanks so much.

Ha! Merry Christmas Fop the Youngest!
These are amazing.
Have to be Slaanesh.

Superb.
Those are amazing.

FACTIOD: Hello Kitty is the second-biggest franchise in the world.
(The answer to the question you're probably asking in your head is "Pokemon").
How did you know I was wondering how to get Pikachu on a bus?
I was thinking how I'd like to see Mr Blobby on Taskmaster. Then I saw a squirrel outside and got sidetracked for an hour.

It's a very particular Venn diagram that someone is in the middle of there but I agree!
A new contender emerges!

Tsk - you're not allowed to call them that any more. Just like Leagues of Voltann absolutely, definitely are not Squats
Still Squats in Necromunda.
All down to high rental costs in the higher floors and landlords letting some of their lower income properties fall into a state of disrepair.
Bought a tank

Improved tank.

More dakka.
That reminds me I need to finish my Sports Panzer.
Has the tableau got a @Grim... figure stood in front shouting and shaking a fist at it?

Nice!
My pile isn't too tall at the moment as it's halfling pony cavalry
Tired of fighting over books and megablocks, I am making a hill
Bake off: Grimdark edition
Testing the drybrushing, and waiting to do some spot repairs.

Hill texture provided by dried, used, ground coffee.
Tracy Island's glory days are long past.
Coming along nicely, Mali!
Cheers
I think I have maybe a tabletop's worth there now. Got some plastic aquarium plants to make I to a forest or something too.

As a side but I am going to get two three foot by two foot boards and cover them in rough grass paper stuff and then that can sit in the table as the gaming board. (I am not spending £80 on a mat).
I made 3 Killteam boards (roughly 1m x 1m) from plasticard display boards from work. I threw sand on top of drying spray paint and they looked good… no one to play on them with me though once young Master Z got bitten by XBox
