I certainly hope that he wouldn’t be so mendacious as to have had one of these, and yet be trying to fleece his supporters anyway.

If he got caught with his hand in the cookie jar, do you think his new found status would suffer? He's essentially a politician now, remember.

I don’t think it would affect him at all. His supporters would mostly not care.

Are you suggesting he's a bit of a cult?

It’s very Trumpian.

Something along those lines.

While I know what you're talking about, this all came from a thing Gaywood has at work.

Ace. I'll have a read of that later on... Shame his website is extremely dated and I've got to read it in a thin column down the middle of the page.

Mobile chrome will offer a simplified view.
When I was a kid I lived in Coalville which was a stones throw from Ashby De La Zouch where Ashby Computers & Graphics Ltd was based. It was based on a roundabout next to the leisure centre and, I think, it’s a hat shop for weddings, or some such, now.

I remember going in as a youth with my dad and buying speccy games and picking up the large cardboard boxes that housed the games with that weird black felt stuff they were wrapped in.

Good times. I can’t remember of the folks who worked there, just that it was a spacious white office/shop where they sold their games.

Anyone else read that in grandpa Simpsons voice?
So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the fashion at the time

This reminds me of the first local dedicated computer games shop that I remember visiting. It was called Sell-A-Tape and what I remember most is them having dozens of cheap copies of Valhalla that they couldn't shift.
Valhalla as in, the Amiga talkie adventure? Not surprised they couldn't shift them, they came on disk!

All I remember about that is walking around until you got killed, at which point you ended up in Valhalla. I had no idea if that was the purpose, or whether I shouldn't have died in the first place or what. I may well have had a copy without instructions for some reason...
Stu has now managed to get himself permabanned from Twitter.

That is a very nice piece, I was an avid reader of Super Play and of course EDGE when it came out.

Stu has confirmed he’s appealing the case he lost.

Sorry, I'm necro-ing a few threads as I catch up. I won't go too crazy.

But I will say I miss Stu writing about modern games. I'd probably not have heard of (let alone bought) Gradius V and R Type Final if not for him.
Christ, I forgot all about this and had to check what happened to RevStu’s appeal back in May 2020.

He lost.

That's the longest flounce announcement I've ever read.
An aflouncement if you will
I just hope he managed to get a few months supply of Haribo out of it all to keep him going.

His party didn't do well in the recent elections. He doesn't like the SNP any more. He can't be arsed. He needs a real job

Yeah, you quoted it ;)
I don't really know enough about the political situations to comment on Wings Over Scotland stuff, so I wonder if (well, I hope) we'll see more video game content from him now. I still do quite like his writing style.
http://wosland.podgamer.com/

He still posts video game stuff there. Very infrequently though.
