I popped to the Guardian's coverage to see whether he'd fallen further back today, and guess who's tweet my "Pinot" search brought up?

Been in a fair few times so far...
Good article on Pinot:

Quote:
"Pinot’s body and mind faltering at a Grand Tour is becoming a regular occurrence and, as he admits himself, could be a sign that a yellow jersey is not supposed to be. "

wekll, that was quite an interesting tour.. I had actually pinot in my tour squad, he sort of costed me the victory in the game...

what a time trial though.. slovenians battling it out...
Has anyone watched Lance on BBC iplayer. It was a good documentary. He really does not come across as sorry.

Yes, someone posted about it in the TV thread a couple of weeks back. He doesn’t come caress as sorry for doping, no. On one hand he is still extremely rich, and famous, so maybe that is why.

I was surprised that he seemed to suggest he had no regrets when he had tge personal belief that using the growth hormone was what *gave* him testicular cancer, but I guess the cancer was part of the storyline that made him so famous, and maybe he saw the lurching trajectory as worth it in the long run. Hearing his son defend him and then have to admit his father was a fraud and that distress would have been enough to turn most people’s assuredness, though. Not his.

Oh no... it was you... here. :D I’ve just read he same post twice. Well, Kov, you got us to watch it anyway :DD
I would recommend the book The Secret Race which covers it. There's some hilarious moments in it. And ways of avoiding testing "the doorbell rang so I lay under the kitchen table until they went away".

Oh

End of stage two he was 25 (count 'em) minutes down.

Poor lad.
These are wonderful, wonderful, things and I love my 2018 and 2019 copies to bits

Oh.
Giro d'Italia fans that work from home will be pleased to know that it's on free to air on S4C accessible through BBC iPlayer.

It's in Welsh, mind.

Hmmmm
This is brilliant..simply brilliant

Van der Poel really did make our day (euros what euros?), by being his brilliant self, and so emotional for the connection with his granddad poulidor ...
I has it on in the back ground..
Darn, the ITV hUb has no subtitles....
This is one of my favourite regions of France. And that was a beautiful chapel they just went by.
It is a lovely course, what I can keep up with
A few crashes... wow
Ewan's looks horrendous
Ah, he smashed his collarbone and then used his skin to decelerate from 60kph as Sagan had a lie down on his back wheel

He's abandoned.
That was a great finish yesterday.... go Cav.
looks like Cavendish has got the best PEDs this year
I am loving the tour.

Cav is awesome
Cav is indeed awesome, also when he came in just before the time limit..

We had some fun as dutchies with vdPoel (yellow, stage), Schelling (great little fights on hills for the polka dot jersey), and poels (1 day polka dot)... but Jumbo-visma has much bad luck.. Even though this pogacar is stronger than a non-hurt roglic
Great stage yesterday.. van aert winning.. jumbo visma relieved.. some great memories on taking on ventoux myself, and interesting tactics by ineos, whith pogacar showing signs of being a human after all..

Cannot wait.

It's been brilliant, so far, every single stage has had Thrilling Heroics

Best sport in the world.
Cavendish, bloody hell!
34 is amazing indeedl... and with mollema yesterday we dutch were treated well as well..
What a race so far! Absolute belter of a stage follows belter of a stage!
Fingers crossed for Cav today....
He might struggle with the break ten minutes up the road.
Yes, it is not his day..
This was a stupid thing to have done after the police had raided your team hotel looking for naughty things

Tour of Britain has been great so far. Some proper Thrilling Heroics, and proper Cornish team Saint Piran mixing it up with the elite.
I love this photo from today.

Oh

Paris - Roubaix today. Bloody hell. Absolute scenes from beginning to end.

What a race
This incident gives me pause for thought

The rider wasn't on the cobbles and the spectator was on the roadside.

When the rider clips the spectator (at 40kmh) I think it's more bad luck than the spectator's fault. Riding in the gully is the risk to gain the advantage of not being on the cobbles.
Imo the spectators should never be considered a part of the course and as such should stay away from the riders. This isn't group B rally.
