Thrilling Heroics?

Not discussing it.

Kittel out after a crash, everybody attacked Froome and it was a bloody superb stage. Yates has a GT win in him.
good to follow the tour from norway, heard about mollema's heroics on 1000+ meters high.. still, the tour goes a bit down in a snore, still very sad Valverde didn't make it to day two... and the contenders couldn't get near sky.. some giro tired (Q,pinot), Some with weak teams (Are, bardet).. still at least i could cheer for a dutch stage win and the sun web team (which is sort of dutch)..

And I'm standing only 23th,(of 45) in the local tour predictions pools..

Did you guys listen to Lance's podcast stages? very insightful..
\today had a nice finish though... boason hagen following arndt's smart roundabout, then losing him, and winning, after losing twice on photo finish
D Y L A N! G R O E N E W E G EN!
Froome going for the double! Vuelta. Starts soon!

That's a good read.

SPAT!
Ah, the classic catfight is back;)
Lance also weights in the discussion #episodeGuid=bc0da4629912cbc4fb9a54c041aecc94">https://itunes.apple.com/nl/podcast/sta ... c041aecc94

Paris - Roubaix is on Sunday. This is a ridiculous 257km race on the road and over stretches of cobbles. If it is dry, it is dusty and if wet, the mud is stupid. It ends in a velodrome. The race is pretty much a meat grinder, and tactics are "survive" and "get to the front before the next section of cobbles". Look out for Stannard and Boonen. I'd pick Boonen for the win.

Looks a bit damp
Bloody brilliant race. Sagan is superb.

except for the heart attack
So my cycling ambitions have been a bit hammered aince i broke my hip sunday, while cycling. I was going to cycle liege bastogne liege saturday

On the plus side. At home i can watch a lot of cycling. Yesterday a fun stage in the tour of croatia. And ypur favourity Pinot seems to be winning the giro di trentino (‘tour of the alps’). Today the queen stage on the track of the innsbruck world championships. That should be fun. Froome also showing a bit of himself.

In other news Armstrong paid off the lawsuit. Which i think is quite reasonable. Since 100 million in damage seemed like such an american style over reaction.. like us postal didn’t know the risk https://mobile.nytimes.com/2018/04/19/s ... rvice.html.
Ouch. Hour you heal up soon, Rick.
Thanx, actually managed 4 kilometers on the home trainer yesterday....slow progress..
Froome just fell off in the TT looksee

Why do asmatics always seem to gravitate to professional cycling?

Serious answer: exercise induced asthma is a fairly common issue due to the vast amount of dust and stuff that gets breathed in.
Pinot stable at a minute and 4 secs behind.
Pinot DO NOT FUCK THIS UP
Yates is too good (to be true?) this giro. tomorrow’s time trial will be Tom’s last chance. He will need to get at least 3 mins. Based on the on the average gap in previous time trials (2 a 3s per km) he will get max 90s. But we will see.
Quote:
Thibaut Pinot, fourth overall this morning, is having a bit of a shocker, 49th at the first split. This could be ominous for his overall Giro prospects.

Quote:
Pinot’s dismal run ends with him crossing the line in 43:19, 61st today, three minutes and 19 seconds off the lead, and his Giro chances are in tatters.

Says the gruan.

FFS
He certainly had a very bad day... lucky for him there was no one behind him who gcould pass him..

here of course we hoped yates had a bad day. he didn't///
Fucking hell .

Bike racing is amazing.
Wow, think how many inhalers that took!
bloody helll.... i 'm hopping from christopher coppi to floyd froome to fausto froome...
I saw Yates lost 39 minutes and thought it must have been a misprint. Bloody hell!
"“I didn’t say that Froomey went out and railed a load of gear and came back and won the stage. I’m just saying he made a bigger comeback than Easter Sunday. There’s no innuendo. I’m not [implying] anything"
