Yesterday was 201km of having a bit of an amble and a chit chat, followed by 10km of craziness involving a bus trapped under the gantry on the finish line, moving finishing lines and a huge crash. Today is a day in the mountains of Corsica. Looks beautiful.

One of the best stages i have seen in a while. Superb.
Superb time trials in what is perhaps my most favorite place on Earth yesterday. The teams bombed along a 25km course at an average of 36 miles an hour. That's faster than my peak speed when going downhill most days! A bit of a disappointment for Millar, who really wanted a win, so he could take the Yellow Jersey, but it wasn't to be. Cavendish and his team did superbly well, and Thomas did a magnificent 24km, only dropping off at the last. he still is sufffering from his fractured pelvis that he got on Saturday. Brilliant and beautiful, and I don't normally like time trials. Gerrans in the yellow, and we should all get on his team's bus now! A ha ha ha.

I didn't see yesterday's stage, but, apaprently, Cavendish won by obliterating all others over 150m. Which is a good thing. A not good thing was tacks on teh raod causing punctures. including Thomas, who, it is said, winced visbily when given a push to get going again, what with his fractured pelvis and everything.
WHAT A WEEKEND! Saturday was a masterclass in "How to ride up hills bastard fast" and Sunday was totally different but nail bitingly brilliant. And Kennaugh climbing up the embankment was quite funny.

Flat day in one of my favorite bits of the world. A sea breeze threatened to mess things up for the peleton but it all turned out OK unless you are cavendish or Veelers who had a coming together landing Veelers on his bottom. Cavendih was clearly peeved with soe of the critiscm he was (wrongfully, I might add), taking to twitter to comment "Can all sprint experts on twitter go and try flicking their bike right at 65kph without leaning your body left to balance & come back to me". Earlier, he had said he'd hoped Veeler was OK, further leading me to beleive he's actually one of the most proper gents about, and no mistake, siree. Millar took a huge turn at the front and stamped the pace down in the final stretch, which was excellent and Froome is still in yellow, looking more like spongbob squarepants everyday. individual time trial today which is exciting if you like things like that, but i'd advise watching as it finishes in front of Mont Saint Michel which is lovely. And they get to race against the tide, too!
Looking ahead, Thrusday and Friday are flat and we hit massive hills over the weekend that even I would consider sticking a 27 on the back for.

Apparently, whilst Mr Cavendish was doing the time trial, he was jeered at and had piss thrown over him.
It's difficult to love Froome this year isn't it? Last year when he was Brads' wingman, he was a point of interest, but this year, just a bit meh.

He's dull as anything, to my mind. Hopefully he can do something awesome in the mountians, like zoom off alone out teh front all day, but I doubt it.
OmegaPharmaQuikStep seem to have decided that the best way to beat Kittel is to sy "uck off" so are currently at the front of the peleton which is smashing along at 62kph, according to the gruaid. To put that into perspective, I get to 62kph rarely and it is generally downhill into Ilkley, on a very steep hill.
Yeah, they've managed to make a stage interesting that looked pretty dull on paper.
