Yeah, new episode was great. Still a shame about Dan Harmon though.

You mean it's almost October 19th?

And since the week after that is very close to Halloween the next episode is their halloween ep , which will be on tomorrow night

First new episode was ace.

Having watched a lot of 'The Soup' recently, I love Jeff more than ever.

2nd ep again as a few good moments but its not quite hitting things 100% yet.
This weeks was good (Inspector Spacetime con)
I don't believe for a second that Community would have had not very good jokes where the geeks are the butt of the joke simply because they are geeks when Dan Harmon was at the helm.

I've read this post five times and still don't understand what it's trying to say.

I think he's trying to say that the geeks are the butt of the joke sometimes now and were not previously (which i don't quite believe but cant think of any specific examples).
Most recent episode.

Any particular part ?

(Sorry - getting old and I dont remember seeing anything like that - however I do also watch The Big Bang Theory where this is often the case and it doesn't 'bother' me in the same way it seems to bother other people)
I don't understand why they released a Halloween episode for valentine's day. And I agree it's not really hitting the mark. Mild amusement at best.

Because it was originally scheduled to start in October so the Halloween episode would have been shown the week of Halloween
So any hopes the series had for timed episodes is totally gone to pot then...
Okay the Inspector Spacetime episode was very good.

I just don't agree with this at all. The Inspector Spacetime episode was awesome!
Blimey. That's horrible!
Community is hammering downhill.

I find myself reminded of the later seasons of Scrubs.
Oh, and that hashtag thing they do? FUCK THE FUCK OFF.
I'm disappointed they gave Magnitude some lines in the last episode. Well other than the lines 'pop pop' anyway. It's definitely not as good as it used to be is it?
The most recent episode was possibly the best of the series so far. Very good.

Also, Britta is getting hotter.

I mean the Sadie Hawkins Dance one. There might have been another since.

Thats the last one so far - this weeks (tonight) is the

one !
I really hated the latest episode as mentioned above.
I thought that the latest episode was the best of the series so far, and it was actually pretty good.
Terrifyingly ( ), I agree with Derek; it was pretty weaksauce stuff and sadly representative of this series in general. It's had its high points (the Sadie Hawkins dance one was pretty good) but instead of the good episodes being the rule they've now become the exception. I mean it's still entertaining and watchable and all, but it's not longer actually very funny and whole shows can go by with only a couple of laughs.
Allison Brie does Memes

Just when you think she can't get any more likeable...

And then....

Tried watching the latest episode of community this morning and again I just couldn't get on with it. I might even leave it there now. I think it's over.

It doesnt help that its their Christmas episode (which your now watching mid April) but yes its slowly been losing its direction

There are only 3 episodes left and given on how the network has treated it i doubt it will be renewed and there are occasionally flashes of what it once was (the alternative timeline stuff during the closing credits for example)
I'm not sure a renewal is what it needed - the last season was pretty disappointing in general and for the last episode they seemed to be throwing everything in
I've enjoyed this series. The body swap one featured some truly excellent acting.
It's been more hit and miss than usual though the last two were particularly good.
I loved the last two episodes.

Also, regarding the first part of this thread, Brita looked awesome as her young self protesting in the 'everything linked' episode.

But then Annie in the red dress. Holy crap.

Thought Brita in smart dress at the end was also lovely.
I haven't watched the last episode and while part of me thinks that it has probably run its course now perhaps the new show runners needed time to get bedded in and the next series will be good again.
Nope, the new showrunners need to be sacked. Luckily, it appears as though that has happened.

Dan Harmon is back for season 5.
I'll give it a chance, coz it is awesome sometimes.

And it does have Dan Harmon back - creator and person in charge of Season 1 - 3 who was fired and has now been re-hired after season 4 - thats the background for the "from the creater of Season 1 -3 in the trailer :-)
Already looking better than season 4.
Most recent episode was fantastic, and had some spectacular cameos.

The one before (with the lava) was also good.
And cancelled :-(

Community Cancelled by NBC

Darkest timeline indeed.

The dream of Six Seasons and a Movie looks dashed, as NBC have cancelled Community, per TVLine's Michael Ausiello.

The perpetually on-the-bubble series seemed to have a much better chance of renewal this season and when I spoke to creator Dan Harmon and the cast a few weeks back they mostly sounded optimistic. But with the show never having had impressive ratings and a ton of new comedy pilots, NBC decided to pass on another season.

NBC Cancels Community - Is Netflix an Option?

The question then becomes, is this really it for Community? Sony, who produce the series, could try shopping it to another outlet for one more season. The entire "Six Seasons and a Movie" campaign and the cult around Community make it a viable property, but with a relatively small audience, it would no doubt come down to cost. But one only needs to look at the existence of the Veronica Mars movie for proof of how a project of this sort can make a surprising return. For now though, we've got five seasons of Greendale to look back on.

Community cast members have begun tweeting about the cancellation.

Update: EW are saying that Sony will indeed try to find a new home for Community, either on cable or a streaming service. As EW notes, the show airs in syndication on Comedy Central, while Hulu owns the digital rights, making those two obvious potential outlets.
Surely netflix or someone will pick it up for another season and a movie.
Christ, this topic was a pain in the arse to find. Learn to subtitle people! Anyway, renewed for another season through 'Yahoo Screen' whatever the hell that is.
