Ok, Ange has asked me to say that we all respect the house and don't trash it. I told her it went without saying as you are all excellent! Please don't prove me wrong. :(
I'm nice and innocent. I don't do things like that.

Make sure you do it in a Skins style. And why will you not be joining us? It's not too far from the East.
Hmm... *Goes to look for Myoptika on facebook*

I thought as much
I like cock
Mainly because I'm amazingly skint at the moment, and I've got a few close friends going through difficult times (non board members to stop speculation!!). I *will* be turning up to a meet at some point in the future, when things have settled themselves down a bit.

I don't drive though, so it's trains, busses and taxis for me!

That's the wrong me then, as I have hundreds of friends. ;)

Sheeps: fair enough, but you will be missed!
I just found the first (Myoptika - Ed) who looked like Nathan Barley* and it yielded that information. I just say what I see man.

* - A question mark

Two very different states there, I was at a wedding of a friend from Florida... in North Carolina last year but I've been to both before. It's almost possible to even reduce it as far as "Florida = touristy customer facing America", "Carolina = The south that you've heard so much about", although the Carolinas are a considerably more pleasant place than say, Alabama.

Just seen your post Duds! Yes, I'm hoping it will be a great experience. For the kids too to the point where I haven't minded having to pull them out of school - not something I would normaly agree with, but then I don't plan for this to be like a week in Wales either!
I doubt you'll get far enough North but if you are, look up Hendersonville for a small town America High Street, you won't find a single High Street brand.

And if you DO do this, find the ice cream shop there. This is very much an order :)
I've just looked it up on the map and it's pretty much straight north of Aiken when my Dad lives. I have no idea what the plans are when we get there (apart from a huge party at some point) I've left everything in their hands as it will just be nice to see them and meet the rest of my step-moms family. But if we do head that way - I will be sure to say we need to find the ice cream shop - Dudley says so! :D
Have you even decided what pub you're going to?
What's it to you, London boy?
We've got ages yet, and there's hundreds of awesome pubs to go to in Nottingham. I suggest we start at the Trip, then work our way across town up Mansfield Road towards my house.
I am fat and wheezy, when drunk you'll have to carry me if it's far. *vaults onto Myp's back* TO THE TIT MUSEUEAM!
Mr Chris wrote:

Interest - I used to go out in Nottingham a fair bit - a girlfriend went to Uni there.
Ah, I see. Aggressive "what you lookin' at?" stance revoked.
/punches Mr. Chris as he looks the other way
Aha, Titler was right.
Are you calling Grim...'s wife stupid, Joans?
Er, no.
That's definitely not a response I expected from that.
It's what Titler would do, Joans.

We should make up "WWTD?" t-shirts. The front would say "WWTD", and the back would be a massive long impenetrable essay. It'd be cool.
I nearly accused you of writing a Titler-esque response. I should have done to carry on the joke, sorry, I'm a bit tired this morning.
I like the idea of walking down the street, people seeing the front of your t-shirt and then collapsing into a coma as they try to read the punchline on the back.
Good pubs on Mansfield Road:

The Peacock
The Lincolnshire Poacher
Nagshead
FADE: The Hard to Find Cafe (a complete misnomer, as it's a pub and incredibly easy to find)
The Golden Fleece

I'm going to avoid the Old Market Square, as it's nice during the day but full of nasty elements during a Saturday evening.

If there's anywhere else that people would like to go, speak now or... tell me another time.
I went to a pub on the outskirts of Nottingham a few years ago (when I say the outskirts, it may actually have been as far away as Derby).
It didn't look too friendly on the inside and we managed to leave just before someone kicked a window in (from outside the pub).
Can we not go to that one please? :)
I'd like to go to a place, but from the front of the menu I can't decide if it's called Eat In Peace or The Eerie pub, it's part of that chain anyway, if indeed it's still there. But if I come I'll probably turn up doring the day for a wander around town so will go for lunch. :)
You must mean the Pit & Pendulum. It's the only Eerie pub in Nottingham.

Well, that kind of scuppers my plans, but ok.
Well, if anyone chooses to get to Bristol, or lives on the way from Bristol to Nottingham, I can offer lifts for a share of the petrol cost. Else I will be enviromentally unfriendly and drive 1 person up.
That might be useful for Perkies and Monsieur Christophe. I've forgotten to add Perks to the 'maybe' list, actually.
I think perkies offered to bring up Gay o' Tha Wood and nervypete if they wanted to. We mysteriously have heard from neither yet...
Straightwouldn't can't come, he told me.
That's such a bummer.
He certainly is.

Actually I did some remembering/googling and I think it was the "Man of Trent" which was apparently turned into an Indian restaurant last year, so you'll have to take us somewhere else for our window kicking fun.
There's plenty of places in Nottingham for that, don't worry.

If we don't manage to find any pubs with kicked in windows, we can just handily recreate your moment in myoptika's house afterwards!
It wasn't a moment I was particularly looking to recreate, but I'm sure he won't mind. ;)
Hey, what's insurance for anyway?
Similarly, if anyone is on the way from Shrewsbury to Nottingham and wants picking up I can offer 1 seat :P
Does anyone else actually live in Shrewsbury?
myoptika wrote:

Keeping me employed, I thought.
myoptika wrote:

They used to, but Grim... bought the town and turned it into a shithole. Now I'm the only one left.

I Am Legend.
That would have been a far superior plot for the film.

Yes, there're all OAPs.
John Peel was born there.

This is true. Whereabouts in Shrewsbury do you live then, Dave? :DD
I don't. My Great aunt did (Well, in Church Stretton, to be precise)
Church Stretton... now, there's a place that's full of OAPs. Joking aside, at least Shrewsbury has some young blood. And, as a bonus, it's not inbred blood either ;)

That's the one! Cheers :)
