You don't show up on either mine or Craig's yet either, Romanista, but everybody else seems to have linked to us fine :o(

Unlocking Rosalina:
ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
Rosalina appears if you have a Galaxy save on your Wii and then win some cup or another (I can't remember which one), but apparently those without Galaxy can also unlock her eventually, but it means getting a star rating on all mirror mode cups, or something.
(spoilered, just in case...)
I've got everyone apart from Romanista now...

Oh can I add the following code please (it's my eldest) 2277 - 6791 - 0839 (I think he's on as Ze Ronerto). Thanks.

Malc
I've added your lad to both mine and Craig's list, Malcolm Powder.

I wish that was your name.
My Mario Kart code is 4940 5596 5909 - as Neil
Ok, Trousers, add Craig's code and I'll add you on to his now as I am by the teeveeeeeee.
This game fucking rocks. I'll be doing the Wii friends thing in a bit if people are interested. But first two things:

1) When you me and the lady are both playing on WFC is their a way we can both log in and get the points ranking? Because that would be brilliant, and I can't work out how.

2) The Wheel is brilliant, and awesome. It controls brilliantly and the B button becomes really easy to use.
strange, craig and malc show fine on mine

Can't see how, it looks like it's one + guest

Malc
Um. I just had my connection reset while starting a race.

By default I got 32 points and won.
at least throb can see, played some good races with him and some friends of him are blinkie and the other one a couple? can they vote for two different courses or do they have to vote for the same?

good to race you throb, most online people i met were quite awful i'm now 76-15

mimi, you know i'm Rick on the game and not romanista? do you still see my code, or do you see my mii, but not online ( i see both yours and craig's)
Aye, thanks to both you and Malc who joined the next round. The other two were a couple who are also mates of mine.
oh and when i first tried to join you, i saw you playing a continental race, with me oining the next one, but then you had dissapeared for some reason. (probably to open a new room?)
Yep, everyone is showing, now - I did try to join you in a race, but when the race started you must have finished or moved to play against someone else and you were no longer there, and I had been playing for about an hour and my eyes needed a rest, anyway.
When everyone's connection is sorted out we should try and arrange a time where we will all converge for a game - that way we can start a room and have a little race.
Yup, the first proper meeting of the MKC of CG might be happening soon!
My details - not sure which one you need, so have both:

MK Code: 1547-5336-7939
Wii: 1901-6207-0822-3754

My Mii is called Alex, rather than Whomper. I'll try and add everyone else's codes in tonight, ready for the inaugural bash.
Sorting it all out any second....

0130-1990-5920
Added you Whomper and MaliciousA ^_^

Rainbow Road makes me want to throw myself on the muliticolored track in front of an oncoming Wario...
I despise Rainbow Road in all incarnations.

Replacing fun with struggling to stay on the track? Oh yes, please.

No, wait.

I don't mind the original SNES one. The rest can get knotted. Just about to add everyone in the thread who I have not yet added.
Wii: 3340 0444 1360 3118
Mm. The Wii one is at least done with fairly quickly. Seems like every online round I've played though comes with at least one chap who will always choose Rainbow Road until the game finally lets him play it. And then votes for it again afterwards.
Mario Kart Club challenge of the week, lets all try to improve our luigi circuit time trial time!

I have 1 minute 24ish at the moment.

Mm. It's annoying when someone repeatedly votes for the same course, even after it's been played. It's a shame this isn't banned. Not the worst thing in the world I suppose, but slightly annoying all the same.

Mimi/Craig: I added the codes you sent me but you're still appearing as "?" 24 hours later - did you add me?
I've added people, but still a question mark, so I dunno what to do so am gonna leave it until tomorrow.

Yes, I added you to both our accounts - sometimes it sems to take ages to be accepted - Romanista took a day and a half to 'show' on my account, but it happens eventually. it helps if you both happen to be online at the same time at some point, apparently.
I'm back home for the weekend and so have been playing this on my sister's Wii - not sure if it'll let me keep the same Friend Code when I transfer the save onto an SD card. Fingers crossed!
Are you sure that you can transfer the save to an SD card - some games won't allow you to do that and I have a feeling that is going to be the case with this...

Aah! Sounds right, I added a load more people earlier and one came through instantly, probably because she was online at the time I added her. I've added everyone here now anyway.

so you have to be a Wii Friend AND a Mario Kart Friend to play? or Just a Mario Kart Friend?

Malc

Aye, I would like to know this too, I'm about to add everybody (from the OP at least to begin with) can I just add the kart number?
Yup, just add the Kart number.

I'm not in the least bit sure. I'd be massively surprised if it allowed me to do it, particularly as the license seems to be inextricably linked to a Mii I just made up on the spot. Still, my online score is something desperately unimpressive like 5105, so it won't be a disaster if not. I'll post my friend code on Wednesday.
Yesterday evening i did the last of the 50cc cup. I started there because returning to them to complete everything and probably unlock some stuff after you've done everything else is really boring, and this way you get to know the tracks. Go0t Rosaline and the 50 wins kart, amongs some other karts now.

Those unskippable end credits get longer every iteration of MK, don't they?

I'll update the first post with the numbers of yesterday..

don 't think repeadly voting for the same is too bad: i mean, if you like the course and want it too be played (and it's actually helped by the game as it is the fastest option, so if you don't really care). After it has been played it should have been blocked though (although if it was we might have bene complaining about that: "We want to do a coconut mall championship" etc... )

can you vote for 2 different circuits if you're online with 2 people on the same wii, i've seen only the same votes when playing thr0b and friends?
and RR is no fun at all indeed, it is just something you 'have to do' at times

Romanista after winning it, yesterday

Woot! Being nice to my girlfriend for the past week and and dropping hints for the past month or so has worked and she bought me the game.

So here are my details if anyone wants to add me.

Mario Kart Code: 4253-3665-2346
Two online friends on the same console chooe teh same course - they can't choose separately.

Rainbow Road makes me sad, but I did the 100cc special cup last night and can now play as my Mii :)
You... have to unlock that?
Yup, it says on the box, it's a bit annoying, but compared to double dash, where you had to unlock the entire fourth cup by winning the whole 100cc it is an improvement..

mimi, playing the rainbow road didn't make me happy, but winning it made me feel relieved..

(incidentally, playing with miis you have to unlock with pro evo as well, a new trend?)
Yes, I remember the first glimpse I had of a Rainbow Road in another incarnation of the game - I thought 'oooooh, shiny', but five seconds in and I was feeling a mite angry...
On unlocking Mii's: I think I might knock up a little article for Beteo/BEEX about the psychology that Nintendo have employed for MK. I think it's really interesting. This game is as much about drawing in new players as altering the perception of people who perceive themselves as 'hardcore.'

I think.

Yeah, I don't mind repeated voting (in fact I do that myself); it's when a course has been played and someone continues to vote for it that I find irritating. But like you said, if they had blocked it we'd probably complained about that, so I guess Nintendo can't win...

After finding my first run through Rainbow Road nothing but a struggle, I won the second time I played it, and won on Rainbow Road a couple of times online, too. I think I might actually like it...
Blocking voting after a course has been raced wouldn't have ben a very fair way of going about it, though - with the online races people join and drop out after each round - your opponents are a constantly shifting stream of people, so to block the same course from appearing more than once would be difficult to implement. I don't mind the system as it is - I have so far encountered only one person that has voted for Rainbow Road so as long as that doesn't keep repeatedly being the course of choice I do not mind.

Favourite courses, people? I love the Coconut Mall - mostly because I love seeing pictures of my nan, grandad, baked bean Boy and Dog the Bounty Hunter whizz by on posters, and Gandhi and Hitler trying to park their cars - their is also another track (Luigi Circuit, perhaps?) that has a huge statue of a Mii - once it was Craig, once Gandhi - and that tickles me.

I love the integration of the Miis - it makes the experience quite lovely and personal and keeps me smiling.

Although, I must say - I don't like the racing suits that your Mii wears - they make you look like you are wearing a nappy.

?????????????

TELL ME MORE!
yup indeed, it makes the environment really your world..

and maili, haven't seen anything yet? there are miis in lots of courses
Have you not played Coconut mall, yet, Mali A? It's a great little course - The Mii's pop up all over the place and it's as much fun to watch as to play - there are other places the appear on other courses - in toll booths, on giant posters and all sorts - I shan't tell you all of them as it's so much fun spotting them as you race around - but go through the 50cc cups and just get some more of the cars and and all of the courses unlocked.
I have seen the Miis, but not Dog the Bounty Hunter.
Oh, hehe - Dog is one of my Miis ^_^

Do you have Craig's Wii number? (6934 1122 3848 8480)

Add him in this evening/whenever and I will send you Dog (The Bounty Hunteeerrrr)

Will do.

Although Mrs A kept shouting "It's FAGBALLS" when playing coconut Mall. Which made me laugh.
