They must have stuck their nickel butt plugs in the wrong end.

You ever listened to an album for half your life without really thinking about it, then suddenly realised it's the best album ever? I think I've just done that with Seven Churches.

Oh man. It took about nine years of me thinking 'yeah, Heartwork is ok' before I realised it is an absolute classic in any genre, and my favourite Liverpool album.

Good timing, as Carcass then reformed and played in my town.
Mortals, it's Ronnie James Dio day; declared to mark the third anniversary of his death.

So have a bit of Stargazer

and it's sequel A Light in the Black

Enjoy.
Three years, damn. 'Stargazer' will always be one of my very favourite songs ever.
New ZOM EP came out a few days ago.

Yes please.

Ed: Metallica Pro Pinball
Deep Joy :)

Napalm Death covering a Cardiacs track...enjoy you lucky people.

Oh very well done sirs!

Excellent!

Heard the new Carcass, Dimrill? It's a bit good.
Yep, it's awes. Everything I could've hoped for and more.
Innit! Favourite tracks? I'm pretty well hooked on 'Captive Bolt Pistol', 'Unfit For Human Consumption' and 'Cadaver Pouch Conveyor System'. That melodic riff on 'Noncompliance' is perfect, too.

Some of the lyrics aren't bad, either. Couple of lines in Captive Bolt Pistol made me piss. :DD
Cadaver Pouch Conveyor System by quite some way. Lovely twin guitar goodness. I've sank over £100 in getting the ltd editions from Nuclear Blast. Daft as I am.
Yeah, I really want it, but I recently spent about as much on stupid metul t-shirts, so I probably need to slow down. What do you get in the "surgical kit"?
Ooh, that Mayhems one was especially good. Nice find!
Speaking of which, my issue of Decibel with the Carcass flexi-disc arrived this morning. Good track, but I can see why it didn't make the album. The mag is incredibly Terrorizer "inspired". Pity. Metal Maniacs remains my favourite North-America metul mag. Pity it closed.
Guitar guide track for the third and final Gridlink(how do you Youtube on here again? Oh well): http://youtu.be/i_A34tFgPR4

Technical melodic progressive grind concept album about Dodonpachi. It's going to confuse the three people who buy it, like.

**Edit** Added the YouTube video for you - TheVision

Di'Anno was the best Maiden front man.

So sexual. Does this mean more Daisuke too?

Also: stop fucking off.
Sadly HD sold virtually no copies of either EP(even I got them for free), so there likely won't be another for a long time, given that Hydra Head spent a LOT of money on them and then went under... As talented as Chang is, he's sales Kryptonite, and he does mental things like having a full latex plug suit made for the cover model of the album and stuff.

Still, he's selling me his Ketsui PCB, so it's all good.

So, do we like Babymetal here?
Looks like Satyr's jumped on this occult rock trend.

I take it these are surf versions, but of what, Dimmers?

Kinda like it, and i was never into Satyricon. This band sound always sounded clinical and sterile to me. Maybe that's what they were aiming in Rebel Extravaganza, but the more straight Black Metal records should be more soulful.

Not the case with this music, it has a very cool atmosphere.
I'm trying out on bass for Acolyte(spotify link) - my housemate is the guitarist, and I'm a bit nervous about it. They're really good, sort of like a Mancunian Enslaved who clearly really like Virus. Wish me luck!
Wishing you all the very best, mate! But don't sweat it. Me and you could always start a band called "Mancunian Enslaved".
If you're still playing bass, I do have a shmup-obsessed grindcore project I'd love to get you involved in. I'm not that far away now, like...
The new Melt-Banana album is streaming here, and is absolutely brilliant.
Long have I waited for this day!

This sounds amazing!

I'd been meaning to listen to this, but I forgot until the thread was bumped.

I quite like it! I'm not a fan of the growly-voiced man but the music is good and it's played well. Congrats, sir!

I do feel that the drums are a bit quiet, though. At first I though he wasn't hitting hard enough but it's clear he is when you listen carefully, it just seems like they were mixed too low.

[edit] Oh wait, I misunderstood - you're trying out for the band, you're not in it. Have you auditioned yet?

Not yet, the guitarist has done his back in and they won't be gigging for a while. I'm in a couple of other bands with him though, so I expect it to go well. I'll pass on your kind words! The snare drum has been sample-replaced using Drumagog software; the drummer they used on the recording was a very light hitter, which doesn't really work for that kind of thing.
This video for Portal's "Curtain" is wonderfully creepy:

Mayhem's Freezing Moon played by schoolkids:

Started uploading the as-yet unheard stuff from the new Demilich compilation/gravestone.
I'm going to Download!
I'm going to Download!
We went last year, it was great fun.

I dunno, I think there's a Nick limit, and I really like the other guy...
Just received the Demilich 20th anniversary LPs. The box is the size of a paving stone, and contains all sorts of cool goodies, including a zine full of interviews and old photographs. The colour of the vinyls is "DISGUSTINGLY SLIMY GREEN". I'm also being sent some autographed stuff that was sadly missing. Ace!

I... I think I really like that.

h/t to someone on Twitter
New Sigh demo track. Sounds like thrashy Hangman's Hymn type stuff but sillier. Not bad!

Still long for a continuation of Ghastly Funeral Theatre/Hail Horror Hail, though...

Nice! I went last year - it was amazing.
I'm trying my very best to be positive about it, but the Sonisphere line-up has really harshed my buzz.

Most of them all played at Download last year, so meh.

Yes, but I wasn't there.
