Just to keep things balanced, I got a bit bored with it and gave up.
Just to balance that out, Grim... is utterly wrong.
I found it totally unengaging.
I think it is my favourite piece of fiction.
Favourite after The West Wing and Firefly, I assume you mean.

YOU LIKED EXPENDABLES 2.

Put me in the 'bestest thing ever' camp when it comes to Breaking Bad.

Today's getting weird.

Correct - therefore his opinion is invalid and best ignored. :D
I agree with Grim... and Cras.

Aye, me too. I watched the first two, maybe three, episodes and just couldn't get into it at all. I have no problem believing it's really good if you push into it far enough but there's plenty of quality entertainment clamouring for my attention as it is so I don't really care enough to go back to it.
I guess it's impossible to convince the (three) nay-sayers here but ............. they have my sympathies. ;)
4 episodes in, it is brilliant so far...

I'm not saying 'nay' I'm saying 'meh'; I'm a meh-sayer.

This.
I watched the first two series, so it's not like I didn't give it a chance. It was all right, but I had other things to try watching.
Season one done.. now on to season 2

Kinda :this: I got up to the end of season 3 I think, and stopped. Not because I wasn't enjoying it, I just never started up again for some reason.

However, me and Mrs T have started again from the start (she has never seen it), and she thoroughly enjoyed the first episode, however episode 2 is a little flat.

We shall continue!

We also have Dexter on the go from the start, and are about 5 episodes into that (I've seen up to the end of season 5 or 6), but that isn't a show that we can watch while we eat :D
I've been watching it all with my Mrs. We're up to Season 2 Episode 5 averaging around four episodes per night... Hope to have the whole thing seen just before the last episode ever is shown, then we can watch Season 5 Part 2 in full without waiting a week between each episode.

Excellent stuff. The director obviously decided there hadn't been enough "cool pickup trucks in the desert" action recently.

I will say I'm not sure about Lydia teaming up with Todd and his Uncle & friends. Surely there are some madrigal enforcers she could call on? And she's got money, why team up with former Heisenberg associates?

Wasn't it because todd was a better cook? The product wasn't anywhere near as good as walts, so she wants as close as possible as she can get without walt cooking?

I more mean using his Uncle and friends as muscle. I would have expected her to continue to employ Todd as a cook, but surely she could find more reliable henchmen (in that they will potentially have loyalty to Heisenberg or Todd over her).

Madrigal aren't in the game at all though, are they? After Schuler's demise, there would just be a few disconnected people through the organisation who were party to the fraud, and possibly only Lydia is doing any meth business (plus a few store people she bribes to look the other way).

Todd clearly came as part of the deal from Walt, but apparently Declan shut him out early on, preferring to use his own cook. So they're both put out, Lydia has the ambition to take over the operation but not the manpower.. makes sense to me.

It's not like Todd and Walt go way back, anyway.
Bill Burr!

That is all.
A great article in the Telegraph from a couple of weeks ago (that I missed at the time, hence it talking about the first of the final episodes being due to air).

Love the bit in particular where she nails Tarantino, especially since Django Unchained was such a pile of overlong shit.
We watched django the other night. It was non-stop fucking awesome.

Another episode today! I AM EXCITE.
Yeah, I like Django Unchained, too. It was a tad long, but still very good.

Can't wait for the next episode of Breaking Bad!

I've seen that lately it's cool to hate Tarantino. This madness needs to stop, Django was great, not "Inglorious Bastards" great, but great nonetheless.
Latest episode is astonishing. Several bits had me laughing out loud at how good they were.

It's still escalating!

:blown:
I've got it downloaded and ready to watch as soon as I get home :)

I thought the confession was genius...
Despite my absolute cast-iron determination to wait until all the rest of Season 5 was on Netflix and then gorge the lot (and only pay for one month's subscription), I have of course cracked and re-subbed.

I rewatched the last episode of the first half of Season 5 just to reacquaint myself with where we were up to (and I'm glad I did as there were a couple of things I'd missed first time around), and up to now have only watched Blood Money.

Needless to say it's grabbed me by the balls again.

And I still don't see Walt as totally the bad guy.

Why not, his moral compass is way off

I love Walt Jr, too, Nick.

I started off quite liking Walt, caught in spiralling circumstances and everything, but since season the end of Season Three I've been really hoping he gets what is coming to him. I really hope to see a resolution to the entire run that brings his character to justice. I'd be happy to see him with a 40+ year life sentence.

I think my favourite character is Jesse. I like that no matter how messed up he gets he always sees the fine balance of injustice, and he feels real pain. He needs a cuddle and some fruit.
