Re: cooking fires: buy one of these and put it somewhere you can get at it in a rush. An internet friend of mine fucked his hand right up after a pan caught fire and, in a panic, he picked it up and carried it outside.

Probably don't want to get that specific one if the reviews are anything to go by.

(Depending on the severity and the source of the pan fire, wetting a tea towel, ringing it out and smothering the flames with it can also work. )
Yeah, there was a bit on the One show or something similar about fire blankets and they tested a load which were bought online. Most of them failed within seconds so definitely look for a good one.

Or just rely on takeaways and never actually cook anything.
Just fry stuff in water. Healthier too!
One New Year's Eve we were in a remote hut so built a bonfire outside. A friend decided to take the opportunity do the demonstration about the dangers of oil and water he gives to his scouts, but doubled the proportions he normally uses. A heck of a fireburst came out of the tin can. It's always sobering to be reminded how bad these things are.
And how awesome flamebursts are.
Edutainment at its finest.

This basically official Fire Service advice now - http://www.dsfire.gov.uk/YourSafety/Saf ... 5&T2ID=188
Well I need the poster for my kitchen.
Actually, if it is 33% of all house fires, the government should subsidise Just Eat and the like, and save money in the long run.
Maybe half the fire fighting gear on the engines and have a burger hatch instead.
Fix it, @krazywookie!
Sure, I'll fix it.

If you fix Sim Beex

But then in the same poster they're telling you to get out and stay out.

So the answer is: stay out and on it all night, eating is for wimps.

Maybe "drunk idiots remove themselves from the gene pool with fire" isn't broken either.
How about "drunk idiot removes family"?

"Nearly"
I just closed it a bit.
I don't think I've ever tried to cook anything when I've got home drunk.

It's either grab something while I'm out for the trek home or eat loads of crisps or whatever once I'm home.
A whole world new sartorial choices to be made for Kern.
A medieval saga writer throwing some mad shade here.
Well, it could’ve been “Grim..., the only mountain in Bedfordshire”
You're forgetting the monumental edifice that is Nadine Dorries' stupidity.
Craster is full of pastries.

Alas, I Could not find, in the 3 or so minutes I were there, the place name written as shin-bamba, so you'll have to make do with his hotel.
A rare twofer!
