Reading other people's crap

I've been trawling through this one today. Fairly decent. But which do YOU read? Eh? And why do you read that, then?
I don't typically read blogs. I find it hard to get excited by people rambling their opinions on stuff, usually via 20 paragraphs of solid text that I don't have the energy to read.

As much as I like Zero Punctuation, I haven't read any of his bloggo stuff. It doesn't interest me in the same way.

I couldn't bear to write a blog myself, even if I thought I had something intelligent to say. Certainly, I don't think there are very many truly decent ones - at lot of them seem to be people dispassionately writing down every dull piece of minutiae that occurs in their life. Stuff I don't need to know.
OMFG you're another local!

The only person who didn't live in Cardiff on WoS was S, it appears.

Have you only just noticed? I did seven years in Cardiff Uni mang (BSc then PhD). I lived at three different addresses in Roath (one of them with Metal Angel, TRUFAX) and one in Grangetown in that time. I grew up in Cwmbran though, and moved back up this way in 2005.
http://chasemeladies.blogspot.com - sadly quiet for a while now, but Hutton on form is possibly the funniest man on the internet.

http://emeraldbile.com - Pretty much what it says on the tin - mad Irish woman shouts and swears about things that annoy her in an often painfully witty manner.

http://thelawwestofealingbroadway.blogspot.com - aka "the Magistrate" - interesting and sometimes amusing insight into the THE SYSTEM.

http://blog.moneysavingexpert.com/ - horrible site, but incredibly useful, and the blog raises some interesting points about all manner of financial things, not least houses (http://blog.moneysavingexpert.com/2008/04/18/is-gordon-brown-right-to-help-first-time-buyers). The programme he's on is excellent too, and would be cheesy and suspicious if he and the people on it weren't clearly having so much fun.

http://botherer.cream.org/ - JW (no, not that JW) is amusing, often interesting, and comes across as a nice fella.

http://randomreality.blogware.com/blog/ - Ambulance driver's blog. Far too often a depressing and enraging read, but that's neglected public services for you.
I used to read Woebot. But then he stopped. On a regular basis, Russ L. That's about it, other than the dudes linked on the bottom of my blog.
