It even changed a bit for the second post.

Is that not The Edge of Tomorrow?

They sort of rebranded the movie, I think following sub-par reviews.

"Live. Die. Repeat." was previously the tagline, which they subsequently emphasized to be more like the title. Bit of a weird one.
They really should have used the original name from the manga (or anime, whatever it is) - All You Need Is Kill.
Just watched "new release" BONE TOMAHAWK. Really enjoyed it.

Without going into spoilers too much, this is mostly a western about a group of four cowboys going on a rescue
mission to save a a couple of people who have been abducted from the local town.

The majority of the film is about these four characters and thier journey to reach the place where the abducted people are being held. It's a bit slow (and a bit too long overall) but always interesting because the four actors are Kurt Russell, Richard Jenkins, Patrick Wilson & Matthew Fox (yes, him from LOST, he's great in this) and their characters are all quite different and interact in interesting ways. Great acting across the board.

Then, in the final stretch, this almost turns into a horror film and things get a bit gory & intense !

Not for everyone, and some may find the tonal shift at the end a bit jarring, but I really liked it.

Yes, i had a work colleague that called the film by that name, which made me think he was a bit stupid, but apparently it's a common mistake. Reminds me of all that people in the 90's that thought Korn's first album was called "Immortal".

Dur dur duh-duh durrr
All you need is kill, kill

I thought that looked good will add it to my list.

Watch Vacation last night, its a continuation of the National Lampoon Vacation films, this time it has Clark's son and family going on a family trip.

Full of stupidity and knob gags, but we really enjoyed it and laughed at lot so worth a look
Oh, really? National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is one of those films I MUST watch every Christmas.
Its not an official Lampoon film, but all the old characters make an appearance including Chevy Chase and his wife from the original films.
I never knew Chevy Chase was a total arsehole but apparently he was, and still is. Takes the sheen off some of his old films a bit for me.

Also, that BONE TOMAHAWK sounds ace, and the reviews make it sound ace too. Added to watch list.

I think he caused a bit of trouble when he was in Community, he has also put a lot of weight on judging by what he looked like in Vacation.
'LET US PREY'

Really solid British (well, Irish and Scottish I think) thriller/horror flick. Compact 90 minutes runtime, lean and and interesting from start to finish, earns its 18 certificate in fine style.

Great cast and acting, snappy script, turns on the gore as required.

8/10 - I liked it. Your man Liam Cunningham was dead good in it even though he reminds me of Ian Anderson out of Jethro Tull.

I bet you never see them in the same room together.

I watch films.

Noroi: The Curse.

First came The Ring, then The Grudge and now The Curse! Shreek! Argh! Shock! Actually, it's pretty darn good and I'm surprised I've never heard of it until now because it was released in 2005 apparently. It's a Jap horror take on the "true footage" genre like Blair Witch and Rec and stuff. This time a reporter is making a documentary on the supernatural which all feels really natural unlike those films where the person carrying the camera should, by rights, dropped the camera and run. Instead, the documentary reporter actually finishes his documentary and releases it and this "film" is the, erm, film. So it has title cards, footage used from interviews, previous tv programme footage and all sorts of stuff like that.

It comes highly recommended by me just because it's done so well. It's still daft as shit though.

What else?

Hidden (2015)

Anyone see that list of underrated films of 2015 list compiled on Reddit? I thought I'd watch one which sounded interesting. This is that film. If go on record as saying for a start that this, too, is awesome and is recommended.

It's about a family of 3 who live in shelter in a post- apocalypse world where they may be the only humans alive. Except for "The Breathers" who have presumably killed everyone and are hunting humans. So the family live in the shelter and can't leave. The film basically revolves around this family living in a two room shelter and the trials and tribulations they face. It's a fabulous little take on the post- apocalypse scenario. I won't ruin it by typing anymore words than this: worth watching.

What else?

Hitman: Agent 47

I'm not saying it's the worse film ever made; I've just never seen a worse film.

And that's it.

I didn't... What was on it?
Here's the Reddit (actually it was "Worthwhile Films you may have missed")

And here's the list for those too lazy to click two links:

Actually turns out I can't copy and paste a link from Reddit on my phone. Soz.
Saw Spectre last night.

Great Bond film, I will have to see it again.
Watched Spectre last night; it wasn't brilliant. It zipped along entertainingly enough and all but it suffered massively from characters doing weird stuff purely to keep the plot moving and there were whole sections where it wasn't clear why in the fuck people were doing what they were doing. It just felt like they'd come up with a load of ideas for nice locations and fun set pieces then tried to construct a plot around it all. I give it a 'meh' out of ten.
Not that I don't like them but that just sounds like nearly every other James Bond film.

To a degree, certainly; but I quite liked Skyfall and Casino Royale and while they were both still blockbuster films (with everything that implies) they were a lot more coherent than Spectre.
I watched Quantums of Sausages on Tuesday night for the first time. And Bamba's review is exactly how I felt. I had no idea why any of these things were happening. It wasn't that it had an incomprehensible plot, it just didn't feel as if the necesssary plotty tissue existed between the fatty spectacle and action cascading across my TV. So I turned it off and went to bed.
QoS is terrible, to be honest.

I agree. Casino Royal is pretty good except for the dull card game bit.which is a pity as it is the point of the film.

I quite liked that, the way they focussed the film down to such a small scale event and kept the tension up.

Not been the same since Sue Barker replaced Bill Beaumont.

She replaced the presenter, didn't she? Beaumont was a team captain, along with Emlyn Hughes...

I realised my error after posting it. Then hoped no one would actually know anything about QoS. But yes, you're right. I was thinking of David Coleman. I think.

Has anyone ever been to watch QoS being filmed? I'm interested to know what passes through your mind when deciding it's a feasible way to spend an evening.
Suicide Room.

Despite some gaping flaws it was quite a good movie. First Polish film I've ever seen too.
Poland has excellent cinema. It's one of those countries where i can't go wrong when i go to a film festival. Deservedly, Ida, a Polish film won this years best foreign film Oscar.

I do remember enjoying these ones a lot:

I will definitely be looking into it more and watching more Polish films yes :)
Last night we watched "The Hidden" based on Saturnlians review.

I agree with him. It was ace!
The Gift is good and creepy. Somewhat predictable, but I enjoyed it.

I have impeccable taste.

I watched Toy Story that Time Forgot. Turns out that I was never that overly fond of Toy Story. It was alright but I've zero interest in a new one based on this 20 minute taster. It was watchable but doesn't have much for my adult taste nor did it tug on the heart strings. No good jokes and no spit your tea out your nose laughs. Just like Toy Story then.
I've just watched Babadook. It is Halloween after all.

I didn't have a clue what went on. I don't think it's a very good film.

So that's 'The Babadook' and 'The Cabin In The Woods' that you haven't liked in recent times.

That officially puts you on all sorts of sinister watch lists.

(Cabin In The Woods is hard enough to understand but I can sort of see some people not liking it for, erm, some reasons, or something. But The Babadook is just hands-down absolutely bloody fantastic and a genuinely superb horror film that really understands where horror comes from.)

Babadook was "goodish" at best.
I guess it either resonates with you on an emotional level or it doesn't, you really need to buy into the two main characters and feel everything with them.

You're certainly at odds with the majority of reviewers to describe it as 'goodish', (Rotten Tomatoes 98% fresh, Metacritic 86%), but each to their own of course :)
Saw Watney's Red Planet on Friday. It were reet good.
I watched Tomorrowland because, well, I am mildly depressed and will watch any old shit. It weren't half bad though. Nice start, nice middle, terrible final third. At 2 hours long it sure does take a long time to flesh out the story about what's going on so the final bit rushes along to an unsatisfying conclusion. Shame though, because I was enjoying it a fair bit.
Ooh, and I watched the Man from UNCLE.

Man alive, I really enjoyed it too. It might not win any awards but it isn't 'alf a fun way to waste your time for a couple of hours.

Funny, sweet and had some tidy set pieces. I rate it. In fact, I'm going to rate it: M. For more of this please.
Me'thinks the people who made The Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials have been playing too much The Last of Us. There's taking inspiration and then there's nicking ideas, matey.

Right? I thought it was great fun. Especially the off-road car chase, obv.

That was the worse bit. Reminded me of the boat chase at the end of Face-Off.
