@thevision, have you tried gunbird in tate mode on thew switch, it seems to map the controls wrong
Bought raiden V.. it's a bit noisy with so much stuff happening around you (like cheers from / to other players), so it lacks a bit the purity to really zone in for me

You're right. The controller orientation was automatically set to rotate but when it's 'normal' it works fine in tate mode.

1. i tried -> rotating display 90 degrees, rotating controls -> direction works, but not buttits on the bottom, since the dead doubles the direction, only on the top of the screen, which feels horrible.. According to the onscreen instructions it should work ('A' and ' ->' should double) , but it doesn't ..
2. i now tried setting it to normal, the directional keys work rotated... (so not playable)...

- the game as brilliant as ever (only played on game before)
- the booklet is quite nice (and thanx to the wonders of google translate sort of readable)
- and the 'gadgets' actually are interesting

on the left you see a number of numbers related to the various bonus systems, most importantly, the nearby sensor... and you see how effective your shots is, think that make me a better player..
on the right you see either a map or boss info..

I can't get on to that site at work—do they say anything about a Western release? I've already got a slightly borked Nintendo account thing due to someone messing around with CFW stuff on my Switch, and don't like the idea of setting up more for one game.

Is the only thing that mentions it - getting a Japanese account on there is easy to do but if your worried then maybe give it a little while to see if they do a western release.
Not sure why you’re worried for the jp accoutn. Just use annew email adress. The eshops cards are safely available via playasia, where i’ve been buyong import stuff since at least fifteen years...
