Well Vista runs fine in 1Gb, depending on what you want to do with it.
Vista certainly doesn't need 4GB. I've got 3 and I've never come close to stressing it.

This laptop's got 3GB in it, and running Linux inside a 1GB VirtualBox leaves plenty of room in the host Vista.
I installed Vista in a 512MB VirtualBox on my work laptop today. That isn't happy. Unfortunately, the laptop's only got 1.5GB in it.
I think I'll stick Windows 7 in VirtualBoxes on both.

If CG gets podded, he'd lose whatever ship he's in, whatever stuff he's carrying, and his very expensive set of +5 implants. It doesn't have to cost real money, that's just one way to make it; unlike other MMOs EVE lets you buy in-game currency with real money. I put that in there to show non-EVE players roughly what level of risk CG is in. If you need to get half a billion ISK and you weren't buying it for £20, it'd take a solid 3-10 hours of trading, I guess, depending on how good you are and how much purse you have. My level of ignorance has been established then

Long story short, after I said I'd stick out a hit on him in EvE, I did. Comical was not amused. I can withdraw the post if you want, but I'd like a retraction of the death threats, as I've had a whole lot better than that before. Also, it's a game, so chill the fuck out. I doubt much will happen, but I sent you some advice over it all.
