Wireless A/V Sender (R-M-D)
Reply
Looking at getting a wireless sender to beam the nice signal (including Sky) from downstairs, to upstairs but reading individual reviews isn't helping much and I can't find a "Which?" style shootout of these.

Anyone know a good one to recommend? It'll be competing with a WLAN (G only) and a DECT phone, and some of the reviews state that certain ones knocked out the WLAN when in use which isn't an option!

Ta muchly.

They are much of a muchness. December/Jan time Aldi usually have some half decent ones in stock for about 25 quid. Most of them allow you to switch frequencies to avoid interference.

Try Argos as I think they still do a 14 day return thing if you don't like the one you buy.
If you've got a 360, can you not 'buy' a copy of Media Centre?
I have a couple in a box that I don't use anymore.
Grim : I have a copy of "Linux" that fills my "Media Centre" needs perfectly, I currently just grab stuff off UKNova and stream them off the PC to the TV, but that requires waiting for it to be upped, downloading it, and faffing. For the Media Centre to work for live TV, I need an aerial - the PC is in the same room as the Xbox!

Mali A: Are they half-decent? Make/Model? What would you want for them?
They're at home atm. What they did was plug into the video out thing of my gfx card, and the scart 'in' on the telly and transmitted the pciture, they worked fine. I'll see if I can dig them out when I get home.

You can pay postage/buy me a pint sometime.
What sort of input plug is it? I need it to be able to take input (the transmitter) from a Sky box or suchlike, most of the ones I've looked at use SCART for both input and output. If it meets my needs I'll gladly pay postage *and* buy you a pint if the Beardy Beardy Beer Club Roadshow comes close enough!
