The Rookie: it is a bit creepy that Fillion exec produced it, starred in it as the hero AND has a much younger love interest, isn't it?

You’re 32
It's not. It's a great show.
She stops being a love interest.

Any way, The Umbrella Academy is ace. If you have kids, it's a bit like the Mysterious Benedict Society but for grown ups and with added heroin.

We finished this on Thursday. I was a bit unsure at first, but really enjoyed it.

I’ve only watched two, but it seems to be 50 minutes of mediocre, with a fascinating last 5.
Watched one and a bit then gave up on it. It's just irritating, "come, come listen to some plinky plonk incidental music and marvel at the amazing world we have crafted". I dunno it's probably fine but it just grated with me.
I was also a bit "meh", but did watch about six of them.
We thought it was brilliant.
Did we?

I must be misremembering then. I don't even remember you being on the train when I watched it!

I'm so forgetful!
Yes, yes you are. And you kept calling me Curio.

I do that during sex.

Sex with Mop, or sex in general?
He keeps calling me Curio no matter who's he having sex with.

He calls me ‘Bobby’.

This week it stepped up to fucking awesome.
To save you from having to scroll as far as I did, he's talking about The Rookie.
The 1st episode of the rookie is on sky this week I think.

Thank you!
Series 3 of The Good Fight has started!
The Rock murders this SNL sketch. He’s literally the only good thing in it.

The Rock is amazing at everything.

The Umbrella Academy continues to be ace. Only two more episodes :(
Also jesus FUCK I didn't see the end of episode 8 coming.
Oh thank god. Phew.

It does its cliffhangers very well although it does have a habit of then having nothing happen until the next cliffhanger (probably my only real criticism of it)

Reg is from space?

Answer to that specific question

ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
In the Series I'm pretty sure its never mentioned however he is in the comics - the only real backstory we get about Reg is one flashback sequence with the Violin

I’m watching Barry. I like Barry.

Barry out of 10.

Actually, 5 episodes in and the woman who plays Sally is doing a fucking tremendous job as Sally.

Scratch that last score.

Sally point Barry out of 10.

Holy shit this is good, like, REALLY good.

Why aren't more people talking about it?

We need to get the word out for BARRY 'cause it's amazeballs.

Hard to get hold of though. Not on Amazon or Netflix, and not complete on Usenet (the single upload that's on there, even the mighty TweakNews failed).

Fortunately we share a NowTV account with my in-laws and it's on there, so I installed the NowTV app on my XB1 and watched it on that.
Yeah, it’s fantastic isn’t it.

I’ve been watching season 2 but waiting a week for a 30 minute show has been killing the pacing for me. I might wait till it’s all out so I can consume it like the first season.

You’re in for a ride though. The second half is brilliant TV!
Trailer for space Archer.

I finished Season One last night, it just kept getting better.

It's one of those programmes that's so good, that somehow makes brilliance look so effortless, that you almost have to step back from it to appreciate how perfectly crafted it is.

Towards the back end of the season there were several occasions where it did the 'time warp' thing that Breaking Bad did, whereby I became so utterly consumed with what was unfolding onscreen that the credits started rolling and I was like, 'Huh? 15 minutes just passed?'

I'll wait until Season Two is all up on NowTV before making a start on it, as if it's anything like as good as Season One, waiting a week for the next episode will not be a viable option.

The RT scores ain't wrong.

Yeah Barry is one of the best new shows in years. I think there's a strong case for it being the best show since Breaking Bad.
I am pimping it out hard to all my chums, if anyone says there's nothing good they want to watch and they haven't seen Barry, they are filthy liars.
The Rookie continues to be acebest.

Apropos nothing, I want Nathan Fillion and Dwayne Johnson to be my mum and dad.

Just finished the first season of this. It's okay and we'll be watching the rest but I think my expectations were raised just a bit too high by some of the comments in here.
Holy fuck, episode 5 of Barry.

So good, so funny, just brilliant fun.

TV, Cinema and Games are just killing it these days!
I don't think Barry is that good.

The third season of The Good Fight. Michael Sheen is just chewing up the scenery and having a whale of a time.

That’s on top of a musical interlude about NDAs and Christine Baranski having an argument with a bruise shaped like Donald Trump.

This show is bonkers.
The musical interludes are pretty funny

They’re written by the guy who did, amongst other things, the songs for Portal and Portal 2.

Saw the second one last night about Roy Cohn coming to party. :DD

Oh, who also did the recap music for Braindead, then.
Should I watch the good fight then? Is it good apart from the interludes?
It's good as long as you don't mind cringing your eyeballs out
Trooper wrote:

It is very good.

And the theme music is the most dramatic thing you've ever heard or seen.

Why is this acceptable but Riverdale isn't?

Yes, it’s very good. So was predecessor The Good Wife.

Riverdale is fine, it's just dull

Yes, it’s very good. So was predecessor The Good Wife.

Not a patch on the first one with Richard Briers, though.
Just caught up enough with ‘Its always sunny in Philadelphia’ that it’s gone from 4:3 to 16:9!

Best episode so far has been ‘Who pooped the bed?’.
