Wow, check out the cast on that Gently trailer!

YOU'RE NOT HELPING!
Max Landis often divides opinion, but I've always agreed with his views on trailers (that they usually give far too much away and try to tell the plot instead of giving a feel for the mood and characters). It's a cracking trailer.
Not a new programme, but I watched the first of The Video Game Years on Amazon Prime, with there being a year covered per episode. It's nice from a nostalgia point of view, but a lot of the humour falls rather flat.
Moreman, Bojack Horseman Season 4.

How DOES this not have its own thread?

I'm fucking not fucking starting one.

Just start a new thread man! I'll contribute.

Season 2's Escape from LA is one of the single most greatest episodes they've done. It's so goddamn horrifyingly sad I was almost in tears.
We finished watching The Handmaid's Tale last night. I realise it was originally written in the 60's but it feels extremely relevant now, what with the whole MRA / Alt-Right lunatics now actually in power.

I'm not sure if I could say I enjoyed it as I found much of it just a bit too creepy. There's a *lot* of non-consensual sex in it and it's pretty uncomfortable to watch at times. I get that they are wanting to show the discomfort to reflect the terrible situation these women are in, it just felt a bit like torture porn, only with a lot more rape in it.
Cherylbomb from Riverdale is fucking hot.

Oh she is a total bitch.

I love her
Riverdale is aesthetically pleasing viewing
Blood Drive is still amazing.

You can have whatever I dislike.
Riverdale is excellent.

Cheryl is pure evil. I have never, ever, been so much in love.
Ok, so I don't get the Cheryl love, apart from the weird Beex thing for gingers she's not the most attractive person in the show by a long way, and the weakest actress, but . I'm on episode 12... I think? I've got one or two left to watch tonight. Completely untaxing, beautiful people, occasional indulgent jiggly cheerleading scenes. Pussycat sidestory currently on the backburner for last few episodes.
I might have to resubscribe to Netflix to check this one out. I've always had a peculiar fondness for the Archie comics.
The 3% is pretty good, too, but watch in Portugeuse with subs as the overdub is dire.

How much relation does it have to the comics, Mali? I've never read them.

From memory, character names and traits. About that, nothing more.
So long as Veronica is posh, stubborn, annoying, and not right for Archie whilst Betty is down-to-earth, wet, annoying, and not right for Archie, all would be well.
After 4 episodes, Veronica schemes and has a longer game. Cheryl tells you she's going to fuck your shit up, and proceeds to do so. Iy's that kind of honesty I fell in love with .
First time I entered this place in Corinth, Mississippi, it felt like walking into an Archie comic.
We watched the pilot of The Deuce last night.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4998350/
Set in New York in the early 70s it's very atmospheric and looks superb. I'm not sure where the story is going other than plenty of crime, drugs and prostitution, but it's worth a look if you like that kind of thing.

Keep watching

Ho. My.
5 episodes in and This Is Amazing
Ronnie's wardrobe terrible beginning E6.
Ho my. Cat ears.

Cheryl better turn up soon.

OH MY GOD

OH MY GOD
Veronica is bloody annoying.
Hooray! Cheryl's back!
She reminds me of a girlfriend I used to have, but less malevolent.
It makes no sense that everybody (inexplicably) hates Cheryl, but they all go out of their way to help her.
Should I watch this, Mali?

is it because she's hot?

They all really, really, hate her. Rich and hot.
People be jealous of hotties. We understand this.
Except they're all beautiful.

Cheryl is just a psychopath.
Psychopath is just another way of saying fascinating and interesting and possessed of a raw animal magnetism.
And, most often, raw animals.
Mmmmmmmmmm, stoat.
Twin Peaks finale: loved it.

This series has been one of the best things on tv in ages, and I told Pete I'd start a thread on it, but haven't got round to it (sorry Pete).

No idea when I'll get round to watching the finale though, so I'm just going to avoid big chunks of the internet until I do.

Then I need to find the time to watch the whole lot again from the beginning.

It's been amazing, and I think we're very lucky to have had it.

When you do, some links for you to come back to:

http://www.indiewire.com/2017/09/twin-p ... 201872863/ -> explains a lot of symbolism I missed in the finale, entirely because I hadn't rewatched the first two seasons and Fire Walk With Me immediately before.

http://www.vulture.com/2017/09/twin-pea ... eview.html -> still reading this one, but makes some great, thought-provoking points.
Agreed, Twin Peaks was the peakiest of peak TV and oh so very Lynch.

I never watched the original show. Would I need to do this in order to enjoy\get this show, or could I just watch this on its own?

You should just jump in whenever. It's fairly straightforward.
