Pet and animal talk ^.^
Reply
Went to Pets at home, didn't purchase any animals! And Gaz was very good and meandered off to see if he could find any spiders *shivers* alas there were none. He had to get away from me 'Ooooh! I want that for the kitties!' at every cute thing I saw :)

Also going to avoid the debate above on 'I don't see the reason for pets,' because I don't see the reason for a lot of things that people have and it'll spiral into a massive debate and I really can't be arsed today.

Sooty gave Gaz a  last night, yah big softie G :p
I want a tortoise for some reason....are they fun? Will they reward me with kisses? No. I have no idea why I want one
Because every year you felt a strange yearning when 'Blue Peter' put their tortoise inside a box?

So they are totally reliant on you, for everything. Without you, they get ill, and die.

Are you joking or what??
I can't see any pet shops here that sell tarantula food or the substrate that I need to use as a base for his home. Gnnnnngh.

my best friend has had one since foever, its about 50 years old, its actually his dads

trust me they are amazing.
I will by one with my poker winnings!!lol.
as far as pets go its my ambiotion when I own a house (rather than the 2nd floor flat I own now)

to get 2 beagles, and I dont care about inbreeding they will damn well be pedigree dogs.
I am ver specific want a boy and a girl and them to be different colours. The girl preferably a lemon beagle.

They cost like £800 each.

I would also like a british shorthair cat, either blue, or silver black tiger stripe (tabby??)
They are alas around £300 though. Id want it to be mainyl a house cat too, dont trust the streets.
my fave lolcat just for good measure
Look at those two lovely puppies.

EDIT: and the beagles, obviously.
VERY wise on the house-cat front love. Plus people kick them and even shoot them nowadays.

View my blog to see my British Blue :)
British Shorthairs are fuck-ugly cats.
Dogs are awesome.

Dogs are best.

Some people put our ability to speak down to our partnership with dogs, they took over smelling for us letting are noses get smaller (and basically not work) so that our talking could become more complex. In your face Nethadrals. They probably just like cats.

Your house is on fire? Cats leave. Dogs GET YOU THE FUCK OUT OF THERE.

Whats that? You are BLIND? Cats don't give a shit. Dogs WILL DO THE SEEING FOR YOU.

Someone trying to rob your overpriced material possessions? NOT ON A DOGS WATCH.

Someone shooting you with a gun? A Dog will JUMP IN THE WAY OF THE BULLET. EVERY TIME.

If you've been frozen and sent to the year 3000 would a cat wait for? NO BUT A DOG WOULD!

Can you have an adventure with a cat? NO SHITTING WAY YOU CANT.

Tramped down a mineshaft? YOU NEED A DOG. A cat wouldn't even come close.

You want to explore somewhere? No one takes a cat. They take a DOG. Going on an adventure with a dog would be AWESOME! This needs saying TWICE.

Walking past a canal? Your Dog will DEFINITLY HAVE A SWIM. A cat would be a home watching Trisha.

Dog's are amazing.

Fuck Cats..
Going on an adventure with a cat would be double AWESOME.

Shame it will NEVER HAPPEN.

(my GF prefers cats - this is why I am like this)
I used to have seamonkeys. My mum one day threw them down the sink because she forgot to take them out of the tank before clearing it out :'(

Then I got a hamster, but he ended up growing to the size of a guinea pig.

I have a catcam which I occasionally attach to my cat, to see what he gets up to. Mostly, it's staring at hedges or sitting underneath the car. Poor little cat, he must get bored :(

Are you sure? <narrows eyes>
Hello. This is my Poppie dog. She is the best dog in the whole world.

She likes real ale, visitors socks and food, except celery.

I have three dogs, all mutts. 2 cats, one of which has it's picture in the dictionary next to the phrase "justifiable homicide" and a huge money pit, sorry, horse.

What a load of shit. Momo isn't ugly, she's bloody gorgeous! (Rummages around for a picture)
Let's not forget the classic British Shorthair:

DOGZ ROOL!

Here's my wickle Yorkie: He's 6 months now and the best thing that's ever happened to me EVA! I don't know if he'd jump in front of bullet for me YET, but I'm planning on training him when my shotgun licence arrives.
Lookalikes.

WHERE ARE THE YOGHURT DROPS?!?
My wife's aunt has two little miniature schnausers. They're horrible little balls of repressed terror and will all but die at a loud noise or sudden movement. Pointless little fucks, honestly.

*Proper* schnausers are fine, but are, of course, still no match for either the in-law's (now sadly deceased) German Shephard or the UBERDOG OF UBERDOGS, the Weimaramaramaramaramarama.
I seem to have adopted next doors cat. Or should I say she has adopted me?

No. Try it.
My muttley crew, from left to right, Rex, Spiro, Izzi

Rex and Spiro originated on Skiathos, which is part of the sporadanese(sp?) chain of Greek islands.
Clearly the coolest dog ever:

My neighbour is a vet. She must be the World's Shittiest Vet, as she has a couple of dogs that bark fucking constantly, and she makes no attempt whatsoever to keep them under control or help them (and consequently the neighbourhood) get a decent night's sleep.

She took them for a walk the other night at 1am, and was walking around shouting after them. Next time they come past the front door when I'm in, I'm going to nab them and take them to a shelter.
another b3ta newsletter, and another cat video woooo.

Quick phone-snap of my two. Mork and Millie, respectively.
Not Mindy then? hehe.

They are cute!! ^.^

We did have a Mindy, but gave her away as a kitten. Millie is Mork's mum. I think they're about 12 and 11 years old now, so they mostly sleep all day, unlike kittens with their infinite energy.
Awww, bless 'em! I'm glad I have had mine spay/neutered otherwise I'd be too attached to the kittens and want to keep them all :) *sigh* a world where you can have a mansion for 10.00pw and unlimited kitties is where I want to be :)

It's nice when you get home and they greet you with meows and want to be picked up! When Sooty and Smokey purr Gaz says they sound like 'pervy old wheel-chair ridden man' I have no idea how he thought of this, but now every night since then when they come to bed with me and purr I get a leettle bit creeped out!

Damn you Gaz!

I wanted to keep them all, but there's just no way you can. It didn't help when Millie and Mork both gave birth at the same time, either, so we had 3 cats and 5 kittens to look after. It was an overload of cute, but all the kittens had to go.
I would have had them :(
I must stop saying that! Whenever I see one on tv I want to have it and look after it.
Mine are off at the weekend down to my mothers for her to look after whilst I 'relocate' myself.
I shall cry for days
Amy died this morning at the vets. :(
Oh nooooo! Poor Ange :'(

What was the matter??
x
Aw man. Sorry to hear that.
