Nah, Myoptika is the foppish twat.

Tiggywinkles (I think it's called?) will give you more advice if needed anyway, they are pretty good and will tell you what to do and when they are normally looking for somewhere to nest over the winter so you can lay the food and things out for them and get a place ready for them to sleep

:this:

We found a baby on the lawn all lost, weighed it (They won't survive under a certain weight over winter) and ended up just taking it there (It's 5 miles down the road from my parents).

We've taken several birds there over the years too.
:( Cosmo, one of my rats, is ill. He seems to be losing the use of his back legs and is acting very dozy. Reading up on the net, leg paralysis is a symptom of old age, so I've moved all their food to the bottom level of their palace. I hope he's going to be ok :(
Awwww! Sorry to hear that Dimrill :'( how old is he?

This is what happened to my little sisters first Hamster-
She was nearly 5, which is amazing for hamsters! She was so old she'd started to lose her fur aswell and was sooo sweet, we had to buy like a 'nesting box' for her instead because it was a single base and she didn't try the stairs-she'd fallen down once.

Poor little ratty :(
I don't know how old he is, he's a rescue ratty. We've had him for about 13 months now.
I have a large hamster cage going if anywone wants it, I think it was meant for rats really. Comes with all the gubbins, just add hamster and water.

Hope he's doing ok Dimmers. :(
I bought a remote-controlled mouse today, thinking my cats would enjoy chasing it around. They're petrified of it.
This means you can chase the cats round with it, which sounds like infinitely more fun. :DD

I've been doing that all day, hah. But I think I'll give them a break, lest the RSPCA bust my ass :D
Mine used to hate those things aswell, proper freaked out when I bought them one! :D poor little buggers

Catnip bubbles are great though! Plus they are pretty cool in the fact that they don't pop for ages and the cats chase them.

I swear I should be getting money for advertising or something.

Going to be applying for a job with the RSPCA or something I think, I'd like to do that-sob my heart out when something dies though :(
I think you need a driving licence to work with them Shin, at least you do around here.
Well....bollocks then....why can't I drive? I mean what sort of rejected idiot goes 'EEEEEK! THERE'S A CAR THERE AND I DON'T WANT IT TO BE' and then fails....epically....I'm such a loser :(

I can drive a twist 'n' go moped though....not sure driving a dying dog on the back of that slowly and over rough terrain would work though :'( damnit
Just took Cosmo to the vets, very much expecting having to put him down. Turns out he has a severely infected penis. I've got some antibiotics and I have to bathe him twice a day in salt water. He's not going to like that.

You has a CBT?

Wanna buy a 125cc geared motorcycle?
Well that's good news. Kind of.

Mend well Mr Ratty!

Bloody hell! *Is truly baffled by that* an infected-? Whew >.< well at least he's got something that can be solved, poor little bugger though-yowch! I wonder if it's to do with sawdust or something???

Glad to hear that he should be okay after though :)

Mali-I am not good money-wise and also would have to by all my gear again so sorry I can has no moped/wasp-in-a-styrofoam-cup :(
Vet's not too sure whether it can be solved. He's an elderly rat, so we're just hoping for the best.

We don't use sawdust as it can act as an irritant and can hasten a rat's death through breathing difficulties. We use shredded cardboard from a horse bedding shop thing for the base of the cage, with wood based cat litter for their litter tray.
Good man! I was going to say that may be the cause of the irritation as a lot of people do use sawdust-paper and cardboard based products are much better for them :) plus sawdust can give them gammy eyes I hear :S

I hope he does get better anyway, good thing is you know it's not his legs so hopefully he'll sort himself after you bathe him-poor little thing :(
Good luck to him Dimmers, can't be pleasant for either of you!
Aww Dimrill, your poor ratty! Give him lots of treats and cuddles from me :)
Cosmo update.

He's up and about a bit more now, but he's lost a lot of weight. The sore I found on his belly on Monday is a lot better after just 2 doses of his antibiotics, but the bathing in salt water makes him squeak so it must sting a bit. Feeling rotten having to do it to him, I just wish he'd understand it's to help. :(

Not sure, but if they use electric motors, surely the cats can hear the whirring and know it's not a mousey?

Sad to hear this, chap - I hope he pulls through.

You've never been to the doctors in the black country.

I meant in that you can't explain to them what's happening and/or why.
Say hello to Leela's new BFF, Nibbler:

Image

They were rumbling a bit at each other yesterday, but have seemed to have sorted out their differences overnight as they're popcorning and chuntering to each other this morning in a really excited way. :)
Awwwwwwww!! Gorgeous!! Where did you get him(?) from? She'll be so pleased she's got someone to snuggle up to in the cold nights now :) it looks like on of our old ones 'Liquorice' he was acebest :D

I want Russian hamsters :(

Awww, we had a female like that too.
She's so tiny next to Leela, it's hilarious. I'll see if I can snap them cuddling together.
Yeah, we got Phoebe in the exact same circumstances you did (In fact I think I described them back when Amy died) so we had the exact same situation :)

It equalises quick, this was about 6 months after we got Phoebs, Daisy was a good 2 or 3 years older.
Hehe, excellent!
Aww, they're all gorgeous!
It's a veritable menagerie this end, here is my tally:

1. 'Lucky' my dear old Bull Terrier bitch. She's 9 now which is quite old for a bully and a real couch potato, but a real sweetie. Wouldn't hurt a flea.

2. 'Charlie' my rescue Rottweiler dog. We don't know his age as he was technically a stray; some young lad found him being beaten mercilessly in the street with a stick and 'bought' him for £30 from the 'owner', before handing him to the Rottweiler Rescue Trust. He was in a terrible state, a cowering wreck with entropian and appalling skin allergies for lack of flea treatment, as well as being underweight. He was a cowering wreck with his spirit utterly broken, especially towards men. >:( >:( >:(

Mrs Caveman and I took a 400-mile round trip to rescue him 18 months ago (and he blew chunks in my car all the way home :D). Now though he is unrecognisable; a magnificent, towering, handsome, fantastic, confident and headstrong Rottie male, just as it should be. (Mrs Caveman is a whizz with doggies, I don't take the credit on that one).

3. 'Louis' our big fat British Blue pussycat - he's nearly as big as Lucky! Very affectionate to humans but not to small fury things in the field and woods (little blighter).

4. 'Leo' our tiny ginger tabby - quarter the size of Louis but as fiesty as you like, and also an accomplished mouser. :)

Cavey
Proof that they're getting along!

You like G&T AND you have a British Blue like my Momo, I do love you actually now-you are made of win :)

All posts made by me at this time are alcohol induced and I apoologise whole heartedly for this
Are they making that funny noise, Myoptika? if so it's the cutest noise I have ever heard. I like it when the one that looks lke Dougal starts jumping.

I wanted the big one to get in the tube and the little one push the tube for a rolly polly :DD

THE ONE ON THE LEFT IS A MIDGET! QUICK, PROTECT MIMI!

(I want one)

And yes, those are Guinea pig noises, one of the reasons why they are the best pets ever.
Awesome footage.

I've Gippynig proofed The Den now, so I generally have them scurrying around my feet most of the time. Need more.

They are just the greatest cats ever, don't you think? Louis is just too affectionate to be real, his big flat face is like bagpuss', has a tail like a fox and is just the most confident cat ever. He is totally unfazed by Charlie, much to his consternation and annoyance!

As for the rest of your post I am deeply flattered my dear, made my night in fact. However, I fear I could be an 'eight G&T' prince! :)

Cavey
They are so affectionate and loyal, really nice cats! They are the 'British Bulldog' of the cat world apparently :) Momo is turning silver at the moment due to the weather change-awww :luv:

I have had maybe 8 and a Smirnoff (had a break) we came 2nd to last at the quiz because I was pretty crap :S 'go figure' as the americans say :p hehe
