Jim Redmond.

You might be thinking who?

The father of Derek Redmond, one of the favourites to win a medal in the 400m at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. During the semi-final, Derek tore his hamstring, but tried to limp home, and his father rushed on to the track, batting away stewards, and helped his son over the line. One of the most moving moments in sport, and inevitably brings me to the brink of tears every time I see it.

Final result for Sir David Butler.

A brilliant political mind. Back when I was a student, I would regularly attend his seminars as he'd always invite interesting speakers from the worlds of politics and the media.
Jason David Frank, the green power ranger with the cool ponytail :(

He was only 49, but I remember watching that when I was little, and they were young adults.
Everyone's favourite Power Ranger. A real shame... Took his own life apparently which is absolutely heartbreaking.
That makes it even more sad. It's quite frightening how common it seems for people to succumb to that :'(
Greg Bear

Sci fi author, I read a few of his books, but not enough.

MrsPaz works in suicide prevention for the NHS. The statistics are heartbreaking. It's massively on the rise with middle aged and older people. Especially men.

Check on your friends. Keep those links working. Loneliness is deadly.
Only just found out ex-UFC fighter Anthony "Rumble" Johnson died last week from Non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Terrible. Only 38.
Christine McVie off of Fleetwood Mac.
