I've never heard it and I'm.... Maybe in the... Lower age bracket?

Christ that's really made me wonder, what's the age range in here?

I’m 41. But I grew up in a London, so I’m a good decade or two ahead of you yokels ;)

I reckon the average age here is over 40 now
The Wayback Machine thread merged with the GPOYW sometime over the past three years.
I can't be the youngest at 35 can I? That seems too old to be the youngest of something

It probably is , however the older folk like me / Warhead (poor Warbot) / and DBSnappa are still making up the top of the bracket - when are the rest of you going to age properly !
All the youngsters are off on Friendster or Bebo now. It's only a select, elite few who use internet forums.

I think Russell is 35?

Sally is definitely younger. And Rach. I think it depends on whether you mean active posters or the wider forum community.
I think this bit could all do with a thread split if the Mods would like to do that.

Its strange to consider that Beex is 13 years old (!) , and that most of the active people have been around for a lot of that

:D

I’m so confused.
You are both the same as age as my brother. Who I think might have posted once on here and met some of you before BEEX
I'm probably still one of the younger ones
I'm 67 and not dead yet.

Not through lack of trying, though ;)

I am 43, the best age until October next year.
I'll be 41 in a month or so.

I don't feel old, but I am beginning to feel the effects of aging.
I'm 42 and while I certainly don't act it, I think I feel old sometimes. I feel like I could do with more naps but then again, I suppose I could just try getting to bed earlier at night?

I reckon I could nap daily. I don't think it's an age thing.
I do love a good nap, and generally fit one in on both days of the weekend.

Itd be wonderful if I could take a nap during the working weekdays too, but it doesn't really fit around the other stuff I have to do mon-fri.
Naps are becoming a thing of necessity. I usually get one when I get home from work and the rest are eating dinner, means I can function for the act of bed time
I find the length of many children's TV shows is perfect for a quick power nap. Somewhere around 15-20 minutes.
I do t understand how people can nap. If I nap I feel like an absolutely awful for the entire rest of the day. I feel like a grotty zombie.

You know when toddlers wake from a nap and just cry for an hour? That’s me. I absolutely can’t imagine how anyone feels refreshed from a nap.
I can't nap. I just can't switch off.
Napping is one of life's great pleasures.

When I was a student, a post lectures nap was a daily occurrence.

How do you keep your face out of the beans?

The trick is to feel like this all the time
Sometimes I'll lie on my bed with a timer for 45 minutes or so and just let myself zone out until it goes off. I don't force myself to sleep and the timer means I don't drop off into anything major.
Sometimes if I run at lunchtime in the afternoon when there's a lull in Teams calls/chatter I have nodded off at my desk. About ten minutes max before I get woken up by neck pain.

I can feel like that if I nap for too long. Do actually feel like I get some energy back if its less than about 20 mins, though.
Put me in the "can't nap" club. You can add on "can't sleep anywhere but in a bed" too.

Follow up Pro Tip:
I've stopped doing this by leaving my job entirely.
Solid strategy.
Sounds like you needed to do that mate.. well done Wookie, what will you be doing now?
Mostly looking after kids. I have no clue how Mrs. W managed on her own.
Doing odd one or two days a week jobs, a bit of fire service, bit of roof cleaning soon weirdly, I still do a couple days as a mechanic at the bike shop that I'm quite enjoying now.
