Qtes.coop. Chicken. Likes the word shit. Ok, but if it had continued much longer, would've outstayed it's welcome. Shit ending.

Doesn't control well. I'm not sure if this is a switch thing or it was like this on the wii. Having never played it before.

I did. but then again, we'd rather come to the conclusion that the other character did not really deserve the win, so it wasnt really a fight.'

I think before we'd even escaped prison, I'd predicted that I were an undercover police man.

10) Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (Xbox)

Star Wars Jedi: Uncharted Shadow of the Fallen Metroid Tomb Raider Vania, more like. It was billed as a Dark Souls SW but it’s only really got bonfires and respawning enemies. Everything else is nu Tomb Raider and Uncharted as you do loads of climbing and farting about but with a Metroid flavour as you gain new powers you can go new places and backtrack if you feel the need.

Just explained my hilarious joke in the first sentence, which was unnecessary.

Anyway, it’s really good.

But it’s too long. The pacing slows to an absolute crawl in the 5th chapter as you visit a shit planet filled with spiky headed dudes that look like that guy with the dual lightsabers from the prequel film. Can’t remember his name. Darth something. Anyway, if they hadn’t included that planet this would be top absolutely recommend to everyone tier because I was having loads of fun.

Well, the combat isn’t as good as Dark Souls which is a bit shit for a game about flashy laser blades, but it’s got some good fights that require reasonably precise timing to dodge, parry and all that. On the harder difficulty anyway.

But I was so fed up with Darth Rinkus world that I knocked it down to easy mode and just smashed through to the end as it was wasting my time. Which is a real shame, cause I was enjoying the boss fights. It’s just the normal enemies are mainly boring and dry. Stormtroopers are brilliant fun to fight (mainly cause the chat from them is good, but also deflecting a blaster shot back in their faces somehow never got old) but spiked head freaks are just yawn and the endless spiders and crap aren’t fun to fight at all. The bigger enemies were good in a God of War stylee too. But there wasn’t the variety that it desperately needed.

Oh, back to good bits. If you’ve got Game Pass, play the first hour cause it’s fucking ace. Oh and Wookie world where you start and AT-ATs are emerging from the water was just mwaaah! It looks really great. The whole game looked brilliant actually. The end levels aesthetics are great too as you enter an Empire base. Again, mwaaah!

And Darth Vader at the end? He’s a fucking badass. I literally had chills and I’m not that big of a Star Wars fan. But Vader kicking my ass? Mwaaaaaahhhh.

But back to the bad bits, man it’s buggy as shit and it doesn’t look like they’ve bothered to fix it which is amazing given the time it’s been since release. BB-1 bugs out all the fucking time, jumping off and on your shoulder regularly like he’s broken. There’s some platforming issues that sometimes crop up, and too many sodding sliding down stuff sections that often break with stupid bugs. As a supposed AAA game this doesn’t cut the mustard at all.

This is kinda difficult to rate because it’s really good and yet has some really annoying annoyances. I feel that because I dropped the difficulty day to get it over and done with I’d have to give it a solid 6/10 yet to was worth playing and I enjoyed a great deal of it. If they did more of these Star Wars games I’d be into them. Probably the best Star Wars game since... that other one. The Doom clone one.

Shoot Zombies in the nards with your mates. 10/10
I'm playing through it at the moment with 3 friends. There's a lot of 'Go there, get this, press that' but if that wasn't there, it would just be endless shooting so I guess they've got to break it up somehow? Anyway, yes. I'm enjoying it.
4 players is probably one player too many. The best challenge is hard mode with zombies for one player above your count (so 3 players with 4 player zombies - the customisable difficulty is pretty great) otherwise it gets boring if you steamroll through the game (assuming you’re going for completion rather than dipping in; although you’re more likely to stick around if there’s a decent challenge).

There's a new "nightmare" setting which is one above 4 player now.

4) Vision Soft Reset (PC)

A metroidvania where you only have 20 minutes to complete it. Fortunately you're some kind of time travelling thing so you can return to points in the past with abilities you've learned. (every save point is a branch that you can return to) Clever, and would be highly recommended were it not for the huge amount of jank in the controls (Dpad only, on a xbox controller... :spew: ) and some level design horrors.

I feared that the end of the game would devolve into some speed run bullshit, but fortunately the final run through having learned everything there were no problems. and the final boss isn't subject to a time limit. Which is just as well, as I doubt it'd be making it on this list otherwise.

It is the same kind of stealthy stabby, game like the others games in the franchise.

This time we battle the evil cult trying to control Ancient Greece.

I enjoyed this a lot, but I do have a soft spot for the AC games.
KovacsC wrote:

3. Spiderman (PS4)

This has to be one of my fave campaign stories. The side mission can be a bit repetitive (Thugs, Sable, Prisoners etc). I loved web moving round the city and the scenery was lovely.

I like how most of the Spiderman villains are included and that it has been left open for a sequal (there could be one, I just don't know about it)

a solid 9/10

Now to tackle the rest of my back log

I am still working through my back log. Completed all the quests and major villains, other than the Riddler quests (there are over 200).

I really enjoyed this game, being a big Batman fan. It was dark in places very dark. The Joker was my fav character in the game.

My only frustration was the Riddler quests, trying to get the timing right on the race track ones was a steep learning curve.

23) Superliminal (Xbox): yeah, very nice. I enjoyed that for what it is. I swear though, the FPS is a bit shit on the worlds most powerful console because it’s developed on fucking Unity and the controls for a first person game are either twitchy or heavy no matter what sensitivity you pick with massive dead zones and horrible aiming acceleration. Ignore that though, cause it’s a fun couple of hours. Literally 2 hours. Maybe quicker.

Because it has a fixed set of levels, and then a generate a random level mode.

Finished the main story, still got a few other quests to do.

The story is about how the main character, who has been wronged by an evil cult. Sets off on a journey to track and kill them all.

Slowly he becomes and assassin, and sets up the creed. I di a little squeal when a skull is picked up, and the assassins logo is in the sand.

8/10, as it is the same kinda game in a different setting.
I haven't played an AC since 2. If I ever do pick it up again I might try playing them in chronological order.

Wow. I did not realise there was that many games.

I have a few of them.
1) (apparently) Legend of Zelda - Link's Awakening (Switch)
I might have played this a bit on the Gameboy originally, but not very much. I enjoyed it, but there were moments where it (possibly justifiably) made me feel stupid, and I had to resort to a walkthrough to show me where to go, or how to kill something.

Anyway, I probably played it more than breath of the wild, so I guess it was better than that.
I enjoyed Link's Awakening but not enough to restart after my Switch ate my save about five hours in.
