How did Prince Phillip react?

And BBC news has taken over Radio 1 and all other channels.

I love the BBC but at times like this it does go a little North Korea. All the stations, all the time?

Amusingly, the next programme on the Third, once the station demerges from the network, is just titled "A Sequence of Music".

In other DofE news, I'm looking forward to seeing how quickly the Mail blames his demise on Meghan.

I do think it likely had something to do with it. After all, what else could cut down a man in his prime at only 99 years of age? It is the only conceivable explanation!
She came into his orbit, now she's reading them his obit. Mali Out. peace, yo.
Nikki "Who is she?!" Grahame off of Big Brother, and later of "look at my boobs" fame.

She was 38 :(
That's very sad. Hope she's at peace now.

How strange that they don’t mention the possibility that Prince Andrew’s fall from grace might also share some of the blame.
Nicely done Kern.
I remember the gang of four forming
Richard Rush. Director. He made Freebie and the Bean starring James Caan and Alan Arkin. Probably one of, if not the earliest examples of the buddy buddy cop genre. It’s a very very funny film and also has some of the most amazing car chases ever. If you haven’t seen it, I recommend highly
Freebie and the Bean was ace, I thought I was the only person who knew it existed.

It’s a brilliantly funny film. And the car chases are awesome
Helen McCrory - one of my faves in Harry Potter (and other things like Peaky Blinders etc)

Here's an obscure one for you - Felix Silla, who played Twiki the Robot in Buck Rogers, Cousin Itt in The Addams Family, and the voice of Mortimer Goth in The Sims.

I'll be in my bunk fantasising about Col Wilma Deering
It's....what Twiki would have wanted?
Walter Mondale, who failed to be US president by the largest ever margin.

Nice to see his 501ad on BBC Breakfast today.

They seem to think this ad kicked Levi's out of the doldrums and they've benefitted ever since.

Sales went up by 500%.
I've got that Whitesnake video compilation of her cavorting on their Jaguars somewhere.

Sounds like she had a typical Rock 'n' Roll lifestyle that was no good for her, though there's no mention of the cause of death, so that may not have a anything tyo do with it.

Tony Armatrading. I guess he won't be trading in anything now.
Wrestler New Jack. Died of a heart attack at 58.

Those who don't know who he is, he was a hardcore wrestler from the old ECW days. The majority of his matches consisted of him beating up people with all manner of weapons while 'natural born killaz' by Dr Dre and Ice Cube played over the PA. I think if I was a wrestler, I'd have been very scared of him. He was very entertaining back in the day but you always wondered how long it would be before he killed someone or himself in the ring.
I never saw any of his matches as I wasn't big into ECW, but I had certainly heard of him.
I liked him better as a wrestler in Smokey Mountain rather than the brain damaged idiot he became later. Worth watching his Dark Side of the Ring episode to see how far down he went post ECW.
Ah, he was a beautiful illustrator. It’s the graphics of his books that are absolutely iconic. They’re like stained glass windows.
Yeah, beautiful books. Instantly recognisable style.
That's tragic. No age at all.

I saw an article about this that said "author of The Very Hungry Caterpillar and other books", and it made me realise that:

(a) I wouldn't have been able to tell you that Eric Carle was the author of The Very Hungry Caterpillar

and

(b) Even if I could, I sure as hell wouldn't have been able to tell you the titles of any of his other works.
