Where IS area 51?

I've had some job interviews recently, and BigOne is aware of the process. She was asking me about previous jobs I have had. I was telling her about the very first job I had. I was a paperboy. There was one house I massively disliked delivering to, as it had a long gravel drive and a huge ill tempered Alsatian dog that heard the approach across the stones. I really hated that part of the round, but the £7.50 a week was worth it. Anyway, it all resolved itself one summer's morning. I had opened the gate with the usual trepidation, and was making my way gingerly up the drive, being as quiet as I could. Heel and toe, heel and toe, go very slow, heel and toe. I approached the porch, Saturday Grauniad in hand, expecting the usual cacophony, but through the window I saw the dog playing the piano. That's when I knew it's Bach was worse than its bite.

I leant Mali my “Air on the G String” on vinyl, but he damaged it. I took revenge by similarly damaging his “Tocatta and Fugue in D Minor”.

You scratch my Bach; I’ll scratch yours!
Reminds me of that time I was planning to go to a fancy dress party with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone. The theme of the party was famous composers, I planned to go as Beethoven, Sly said he wanted to be Mozart and Arnold said "I'll be Bach"
Decided I was not enjoying the November darkness so got out my Christmas lights and wrapped them around my banister to provide a +1 seasonal jollity bonus.

It pains me to say it but Malia's tip about avoiding tangles by wrapping them around cardboard before storage actually worked!

Went broke due to their economically illiterate drink prices.
Whamageddon is quite stressful. It is only Day 4.
We were talking about something similar yesterday, with people playing The Game, and apparently I’ve just lost because I thought of it and so have you now and blah blah blah. So with Whammaggeddon, because it’s an ace song so you should just pop it on play on December 1st, get it out of the way and then you can bop along all December :D

I was at an 80s club night last night. I’m already out :D
9:05am on December 1st, I was out. Radio fucked me
Happy day of birthing, Joans!
Is this thing on??
Happy birthday, DavPaz!
Good guess, but no.
Happy postbirthday Joans!
Post-thank yous.
In a remote hostel in the Peaks and have just lost Whamageddon.

Oh well, at least I can enjoy it freely now.
We heard Shakin’ Stevens Merry Christmas Everyone in the wild on Wednesday. We’ve been playing it for weeks, obviously, but we always hold that when you hear Shaky in the wild Christmas PROPERLY kicks off.

It's the hope (valley) that gets you.
It's not coming home for Christmas, lads.

Still in!
Jem is away for a couple of days close to Christmas, and our usual doggie daycare place closes until January at the end of this week, so I've decided to try and get away for a two night trip to York while Jem is away... taking the dog with me.

What could possibly go wrong? ;)

Top button is not thumb rockable from the bottom button, therefore should not be used for anything critical

Amen. Absolute insanity.
Except on the Switch pad and WiiU. Obv.

My thumb fits more comfortably across the top and right buttons.

Stupid slug and lettuce in brum ruined it last night

Out
Just gave an excellent presentation and to finish it I accidentally pressed "leave" rather than "stop sharing" and promptly fell off the call. Oops.
That’s the mic drop of the 2020s.
Kern Out!
