I hope he makes them into club head covers, I really do.
Those are either some absolutely massive squirrels or very tiny golf clubs.
I’ve seen some pretty big Squirrells in my time.
It comes to something when it takes 5 minutes to buy a 5 year joint mortgage on your phone without having to talk to a human.

Technically I didn't even need to talk to my wife, which is the only bit that gave me pause. Even the email they sent to her just said "congratulations your mortgage setup is complete!" not "were you expecting someone to sign you up to a mortgage today?"

I imagine he uses the heads as balls. which he fires from his garden into the garden of his most hated neighbour.
That’s nutty.
I'm on a zoom call with a colleague and a customer.

In the time taken to post that, were now on 26MB and 11 minutes remaining!

What the hell connection does he have!

I am finally embracing middle age, by labelling jars :)

Excuse the bad handwriting. I might have to look for printed stickers.

Problematic Rugby Team News now!

The Exeter Chiefs are finally ditching their Native American imagery and name, rebranding as, er, the Exeter Chiefs with Celtic imagery.

Yes, it kinda makes sense :)

The logo for Skoda cars is an Indian headdress and an arrow. No, I have no idea why a Czech car company would use that, either.

I never noticed that! Just looked it up and I can see it now. And of course, won't be able to unsee it either.
I always assumed it was a bird. Or maybe a ship of some sort.

Yeah, me too. It always made me think of Woodstock from the Peanuts strip.

In 1923 two different trademarks were registered at the Office for Innovation and Model Registration in Plzeň. The first depicted a winged arrow pointing to the right with five feathers in a circle and the second was a winged arrow with three feathers. The famous winged arrow with three feathers still forms the Škoda logo today. The ŠKODA text was added to the logo in 1936. The arrow represents speed, the wings progress and freedom, the eye precision and the circle unity, completeness, world and harmony.[68][69] The story goes that, on his travels through the US, Emil Škoda had once been so taken with a Native American's feathered headdress that he had returned to Pilsen with a relief image which inspired the logo.[70]

You'll have to wait longer than you did for your car
He wouldn't want them to clash.

Why dispense with tradition? You can buy ours if you want ;)

Lime green cows are expensive to raise, and you need several of them to make a three seater sofa.

One of the options for the sofa is lime green :)

I did look. But they have a nice wine or scarlet red.
Isn't credit ratings funny. last year when mine was buggered I could not get a good credit card. A year on, all is great. I got an offer of a Santander card, that gives cash back on purchases, with a £13000 limit. That is mental...
You're back, baby! Back in the world, and the world runs on credit.

Not that I'm disagreeing, just that last year was the unusual one, not this one.
Yes, I won't be getting a £13k limit, that is mental.

Lessons learned from an IVA etc :)
I'm not a philatelist but for years I've been buying interesting stamps from the Royal Mail so when I post something there's a bit of colour and interest on the envelope rather than a just a dull picture of Big Liz.

Just read that I've got until the end of January next year to either use up my supplies or replace them for super barcoded stamps.

Might get some green ink and start writing to my MP in the old fashioned way to help run down the stock.

Really? Will they cease to be usable then? I ALWAYS notice your stamps and keep them in a little pile because Darwin is a collector of stuff and I thought he’d like them. That’s a shame!

Looks that way, reading the press release. We'll have to wait until the swap-out scheme is launched for full detalis.

:luv:

The best set the Royal Mail ever did was the dinosaur one. The stamps weren't even the usual rectangle but cut to match the dino.
Hmmm... scrolled down a little and found this in the FAQ (that I didn't notice earlier):

Quote:
All Definitive stamps are being barcoded — including Christmas stamps. Definitive stamps are the regular ‘everyday’ stamps featuring the profile of HM The Queen created by the sculptor Arnold Machin. We aren't barcoding special issue stamps — which are printed as a one off to commemorate a person/event and to celebrate the best of the UK’s contribution to the world

So perhaps my non-boring stock will last.

Fingers crossed! I have no problem with them reinventing the stamp, thoigh I question how many people are going to be scanning in their stamps after the novelty of the initial one or two wears off, but as they clearly aren’t needed to drive it sort the mail and special editions can work without, I don’t know why they have to put a stop date to our current stamps (other than to drive panic usage before possible price increases).

I bought some Christmas cards from John Lewis at the start of December, to use next year, but they got lost in transit (lol), so I wondered if this year I’d stop sending Christmas cards. Looks like I’ll have to find some elsewhere now to use all my stamps!
I've got a store of 1st class stamps i've been using for years, i'll be pissed if suddenly I can't use them anymore.
